Taste of Chaos

so i went to the Taste of Chaos tour concert last night (bands played were: bleed the dream, killswitch engage, my chemical romance, opiate for the masses, saosin, senses fail, static lullaby, underoach, the used) at the saddledome and it was a pretty good show.. it wasn't exactly what i was expecting.. dont know what really i was expecting.. probably not so many young ppl probably.. but it was general admission so i guess so never thot of that. but man.. young ppl everywhere.. but i gotta say.. for young kiddies.. they can rip it up on the mosh floor haha and take a beating.

there were lil highschool bands doing the intermission spots.. they gave them a lil corner spot on the stage while the main bands set up haha it was hilarious.. this one bands singer.. was going so nuts but he didnt have anywhere to go nuts into.. haha there was like no room. he'd bounce around like crazy.. almost punching out his buddies .. it was just hilarious. then the drummer who was trying to be soo cool.. threw his sticks and they hit the pole that was right there and almost rickachaid him right back in the head lol.. it was so funny. but ya.. Killswitch Engage were really good.. my Chemical Romance were better.. then my god.. i gotta say.. im a hardcore fan of The Used now thats for fucken sure. that band is awesome.. i never even realized.. wicked sound, great guitar and stage presence and an awesome singer.. that guy can giver! and haha he dared the mosh pit to try and get passed the security guys and get up on stage and cause shit.. and some mofo did actually get up there near the end of the concert.. and tryed to sing then almost knocked Bert the singer right off the stage.. then 4 guys from the side of the stage like tackled him and they all went flying onto the ground from the moniters.. haha squished the guy then got rid of him it was so funny.

near the end the singer like fucken launched himself stage diving into the crowd.. like just rannnn and jumped.. haha then i dunno what they were doing to him while he was out there but he got pretty rowdy and started kicking them in the end n shit.. got back on stage and was all pissy and then launched himself a second time into the crowd.. lost his shoes.. then came back up and then threw his mike stand into the crowd.. it was fucken hilarious man.

then the other good band My Chemical Romance came onto tstage and they set up 2 drum kits and they played a Bowie and Freddy Murcury song together it was cool. i love The Used.. they song Under Pressure - awesome.

my buddys band Opiate for the Masses wasn't there for some reason i dunno why that kinda sucked.. o well another time.

great time tho.. i gotta start going back to concerts more often again.. i fucken love em.

its in Vancouver tomorrow anyone going?

HUZZAH!!!!

This show is gonna kick ass.... I'm looking forward to pretty much every band on the line up. I've seen Killswitch Engage and they definitely know how to rock a crowd. My Chemical Romance should be good, A Static Lullaby will be amazing, Senses Fail should be OK. I've heard that The Used put on a hell of a show so I'm stoked for that.... haven't seen them before.

I'm pretty stoked to see the acoustic stage bands too. Most of the bands playing aren't used to doing acoustic stuff so who knows how it'll turn out! A local band from Surrey called Starless Nights won the myspace competition to perform at the Vancouver show.... kinda cool that the tour is supporting local bands on all of their stops.

I'm going. Really excited to see Senses Fail (again), The Used and Underoath.

Starless Nights sounds good. One of the members, U-Wei, used to be the lead singer ina band called Uway Today in Langley/Surrey and my boyfriend's old band used to play shows with him. Pretty cool guy. It's nice to see people get noticed! (they also have shows down the west coast into cali too!)

I missed Starless Night's set because I was waiting in line for the bathroom. 3 bathrooms for millions of girls? GEEESH.

I didn't pay much attention to A Static Lullaby, but what I heard was aight. I knew a few of their songs.

Bleed the Dream was very cool! I'm going to check out their cd.

Senses Fail was AWESOME...i mean Sensual chocolate..did he say they're changing the name to that? lol.

The band from San Diego (my american dream?) was alright, but should have been at the beginning of the whole show. Senses Fail was a hard act to follow and the lead singer had such a weak speaking voice when he was trying to get the crowd hyped. I felt sorry for them, and walked away into the sea of vendors (where I foiund no pins! boooo)

Killswitch Engage: coulda done without. I know it 's for some people, it's just not my thing.

My Chemical Romance was cool. I liked it...

AND THE USED ROCKED. AHH. I haven't gone crazy like that in SUCH A LONG TIME. I've been to so many concerts but haven't had that much fun dancing around in SO LONG. Burt just hyped me up. And the lights were cool.

And now, we're going to see them all over again at Warped tour (well except the used I think and killswitch).

The only thing that SUCKED was the venue. Oh so echo-y.

PS. OH yes. Underoath didn't end up coming so I was sad.

And I want the star shaped tambourine that dude was using during the used/chemical romance cover duet of Under Pressure.

It's too bad that not too many people knew the song though -- I was in the middle of the building (towards the edge of the crowd) and people weren't thrashing around or hyped up as much. Though I was dancing around like CRAZY.

Ok. That's It.

Except I found out that Brazil ISN'T coming with Alexisonfire anymore. They're coming with CHOKE next week. I need to see if Brazil is coming to Warped tour....

did Opiate for the Masses show up in vancouver? i was bummed b/c thats my buddys band and i had pumped my buddy up to see him drum.. they never showed. i wonder why.. i know something happened im still trying to find out.

Nope. They weren't there. I think on the TOC website it says that a few bands were only on the tour for a month or something.

That's what one of my friends said when I asked why underoath didn't show.

killswitch engage.....fucking awesome......i moshed soooo hard!
i was really pissed off that girls couldnt check their purses, but oh well...
AND THIS TIME I BROUGHT MY ID!!! BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!!!!!!! made me really happy.
the used was fucking killer too.... gave'r so hard aswell..soo sore...

im so happy you had a wicked time.. i had a great time too.. however i didn't go into the pit.. i wasn't dressed for it.. but another time.. i had a goodtime at the side of the stage..

I think if I knew that my neck wouldn't get hurt I would have jumped into the mosh pit. But nowadays I take one look at a mosh pit and ache.

I'm so jealous I didn't go because I had to work. But then someone at the show let me hear the a few songs from the used and my chemical romance over the fone. Not the best but it was all I could do to get a little part of the action. Ok this is making me sad talking about it. I'm going to go cry now.

Awesome night, even if I ended up with a few bruised ribs I could've done with out. The singer from My Chemical Romance was a dick, I wish someone stormed the stage and knocked him out like he was asking for. So sore and I have another concert to go to tonight, and another on Tuesday. Ugh.
