a few thoughts on Apex 2005.

would have liked a little more visual show of each stages name, and the line up there. some i didnt see at all... (i know i needed a flyer :P) wanted to throw an idea out: the VIP tickets¿ could be sold as enterance to mabey an aditonal stage or something and more importantly be admitance to a beer garden... VIP tickets not sold to miners, and beers not alowed out of the garden. i like the idea :) and its way better than limiting the entire rave to 19+ and still appeal to a much broader party croud (drinkers).... who knows, just wanted to throw it out there. ...¿(gave only an early enterance, and hardly came through on that) VIP line should have been far side of the gate with a completely private admitance and check beside the standard. the regular admintance tickets should have had chalk lines keeping eveyone all the way back along the side of the road. signs should be posted throughout the parking and along the way through the gates with high visibility informing everyone of where to find ticket venders, the VIP line, and what isnt alowed through the gate. would save alot of yelling and frustration. (if not mabey a megaphone would help) In conclusion i was a little shaken by the mess outside the gate, and the dissorder of croud control, and hit with the price jump things started off with me questioning the organization of the party this year. (sorry guys) once i was inside my oppinion started to change. the set ups were great, over crouding was delt with reasonalbly. a little too much space for consesions i though, pack them in, the stages needed all that extra space. despite everything i ragged on, come the end of the night, i was absolutly impressed with the party. it was worth the extra money and then some <no getting any ideas guys!> PS~ im really sorry to everyone i told that tickets were only 20 at the door. i really hope no one was turned away. feel terible about that. |

dancers on staff are good. they break the ice in a sence. makes the stage feel more lively, and encourages people in the croud to dance. party cause they wont be the only person moving and watched, but also party just seeing/hearing/feeling the music and the movments inspire mellow crouds... but i agree raves out of the croud would have made it that much more personal and involving, but really.. you didnt know the differnce till later, so they did a good job..
as for the bigfoot raver, complements to him! i loved the costume, its great to see people having fun! i miss the way the kandi kids and costumes used to populate the raves. especialy Apex. adds such a relaxed fun loving attatude to the party. honestly everyone i watched notice him broke out in a huge smile instantly. props on the balls for that, the smiles it brought, the heat you must have endured, and the positive energy you bring with you! |

Absolutely Amazing.
It ended up being better than I had ever anticipated. I want to first off thank the Apex team for all their help and support for making this year the best ever. I secondly want to thank my production team, Remix Sound, for setting up an amazing light and sound display for which made for one of the best systems I've ever rented. 2 truckloads of sound and 18 amplifiers - it was worth every watt! :P I want to thank my best friend Alla. Without you I couldn't have done this. Seriously. You helped me from setup to finish, and you were my support for the entire show. You're amazing and I'm so lucky to have you. To my beautiful Djs: Maggie, you were amazing, Molly you're amazing, Illesha you're amazing, Bri you're amazing, Kristy you're amazing, Sabrina you're amazing. I couldn't have asked for a more talented group of beautiful dj's to be a part of my company for years to come! We need to promote ourselves, and support one another, together! To all my friends who showed up to support, and helped make me smile. I love you all. To everyone I met, thank you for coming out! After tons of PM's and emails from male dj's on this board, I would like to congratulate the only males who got a timeslot early in the morning - Tyson and Luke! Big ups to the jungle massive!!! Thanks for playing! It was a slice :) Tyson you rock, Luke you're hilarious! Best night, but so glad the stress is over! *sigh* NEXT YEAR = BIGGER, BETTER, LOUDER. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox Missy xoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxox |
