I sold about 150 tickets at the door, after about 2 hours, it was too hard to sell tickets, rip them, then give the person a wrist band.
we started just selling wristbands. there was no head count at the door, it would have been impossible to do. |

judging by the cash from door sales you could figure out the number, at least close to it!!!!! |

Oh yeah drinkin Kokanee in the mornin, you know how we do it! You can tell we're in Canada just by that lol. Nice chillin with ya Anthony, we gotta do more of that sometime. Hey, I didn't catch your set, cuz I had no idea who was playing were or anything. However, props to you for rocking that fucking big ass stage man. Good work. THIS PARTY FUCKING RULED!! If you missed it, I'm sorry for you. I went to Apex last year, and it didn't even hold a candle to this year. In fact last year I had a bad time, this year I had a fucking blast. The difference was A) better stages this year, B) more people, C) lots and lots of good music, D) Seattle DJs pretty much owning shit up there. They got a bigger scene, but it seems that our DJs can hold thier own, cause Seattle DJs were headlining stages all over the place. DJs that I saw rockin it: Rob Noble and Vex fucking tore that shit up! This was what I heard when I first walked into the place, and the dance floor was just going nuts. Missed Hyperfunk, sorry bud, but I had random people tell me that "Hyperfunk tore it up eh?". Saw Sir Kutz dropping the sick tracks tho. Hahaha when I heard those beats coming from the main stage I knew that was Sir Kutz right away. I think he was the only breaks on that stage. Dabbler threw down a tight set at the Swiftbeats stage right before me, very crowd pleasing for sure. Rockin the mic was the one-and-only MC Verbal Assasin, holding it down for sure. Loki was also rocking it about the same time over on the Sea Town stage. Big props to Jeremy for the SICK FUCKING STAGE! Definitely one of the best sound systems there. Had a great time rocking out during my set at 4:20 am. Thanks so much to the Swiftbeats crew, always showing me love whenever we come thru. I'm going to be calling you guys very soon to finalize some shit...just need things to slow down here in Seattle first, I've been very busy working on releasing my first vinyl and throwing the release party. So expect to hear from me soon. Anyways, I think the only downside to this party was that I missed seeing DJ Dean, who I really wanted to check out. Then I even had party kids telling me later in the day that he was totally the shit. Oh well. Also huge shout out to Ashes for being the bomb. Thanks baby!! Also thanks to Tara and Carlos for the generous hospitality. See you guys next year!! Martin Last edited by Sonny Chiba; Aug 03, 05 at 11:03 AM. |

Highlight of my night included running (very literally) with Johnbeans, Chet, Allison and Kenny to go get more beer, playing raver bocce with Dean at the Swiftbeats stage, and the Dance 360 comp. (SO FUNNY)
This was hands down one of my favourites in the 5 years I've been partying So good to see so many people I haven't seen in ages :) you guys know who you are, I dont think I need to mention names Cant wait for next year when it'll be APEX"S 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! |

Highlights of my night/morning include:
- grinding random bitches at the LCU stage - apologizing to Ashes for being mean on the internet - finding my 12 case in a prickle bush untouched - drinking the 12 case - drinking half of akeel's 12 case during our set. - slapping random hoe's bums! - yelling at dancer hoes that were bumping the decks. - hugging the dancer hoes after yelling at them. - talking to people with dried blood around their nose (I swear half the people i talked to had this going on) - watching Dj precise attempt to talk - watching Dj Stimulant J try to walk. - playing for 3 hours to a great crowd!!!! This apex was by far my fav! Akeel and I had a great crowd going for a good 3 hours! Props to anyone who stayed the entire 3!!! Thats going to be the last breakbeat set I play for a LONG TIME maybe even till next apex so I hope you enjoyed it. thankyou swingkids/Fnk and Akeel for making it happen! |

Interesting night for sure...
I had a good time playing (although I almost missed my set, thank god for friends and cell phones... no thanks to alchamahol), it was awesome to see a few of my friends around to check it out (thanks guys, that meant a lot to me), and very cool to drop a few of the new productions we've been working on in the studio. It was also awesome rad bad to see some friends out I haven't in a while and.. Rhia: Thanks so much for everything, you're such a sweetheart! =) Oh yeah, and the IHOP breakfast in the morning was priceless. I haven't laughed that hard in forever. |

I had a wicked time. Took a lil nap from 2-5ish. First apex Ive been to sober. I got to see alot of old and new friends. Highlight of my night was helping an old friend feel better and taking pics of sketchy ravers doing weird shit in the morning.
I didnt adventure much outside of the swiftbeats stage except to the hiphop stage. Whatever stage that was they played some old school tracks that made my night. Cant wait for shambhala :) |
