Now by all means I dont know fuck all about promoting / costs of throwing a party... but it seamed obvious that the number of people there simply couldnt have paid for all the talent that was promised aswell as the setup. Be it a fairly large party, but I think the numbers just wouldnt add up... So they cut the 3 most expensive djs promised... Please correct me if I'm wrong, what does a headliner like lange / wow / uk apache go for? All costs included.

This kind of reminds me of the shit that super sweet used to pull back in the day...

Now the question i have is umm, doesnt all of this add up to 'false advertising'? I took a look at the flyer and it doesnt state that they have the right to change the lineup without(or with) notice, and seeing as alot of people bought tickets specificly for the reason of seeing wow/lange/ukapache... Heh, couldnt they get sued for something like this if some spoiled party goers father owned a law firm?

Sorry guys, the party was alrite, music was killer, but ripping people off sucks!

At a 24 hour long show, things need to be explicity stated so people can plan what to bring and what not tobring . I noticed people were encouraged to come early and set up a camp area. Some further information helps since 'camp' can mean many things.

I for one would never attend an event for that long if I couldnt bring in my own food.

And not having the full bill there is poor. No excuse can cover this.

yes she has, I know this for a fact because her and I used to date before we even knew what raves were, and we both entered the rave scene at pretty much the same time, which is just over 10 years ago.

My first party I ever went to she was there, called Merge on Vacouver Island in May of 1996.

You can't sue someone for booking native land and setting up a rave. There were no signed documents or permits needed for a party like this, so they can pretty much get away with doign whatever they want.

Raves are not concerts, everyone who ever buys a ticket for a rave has to accept the fact that anything goes. Whether it's good or bad, shit always happens. Parties getting cancelled, if you don't get your money back then so be it. If a headliner doesn't show up, oh well tough luck.

I'm not saying it's fair, but it's just the way the rave scene works. And the sooner people start realizing this the less headaches you'll be giving yourselves.

Ravers are so commercial now, everyone expects every last cent they spend to ensure them nothing wrong will happen. A rave is a rave!

fyi the number of porta potties required for an event is

1 per 100 people per day

if you have a scheduled cleaning in between you can go a little lower, if they smelled really bad its probably because they were close to being full and were not cleaned.
