This happens all the time, when you book someone as big as WOW you want to get cross-bookings to split on flight share and the agency usually lowers the cost if you get ultiple bookings at once.

That being said, Josh probably booked WOW with another promoter in Calgary and the Calgary promoter must have bailed last minute. Meaning there's no way he could afford to just have him out by himself for the one show.

The bottom line is, the issue between you and Reid Speed was a huge miss-communication, she was upset because you weren't listening to her and you were obviously too busy to deal with the situation at the time so you both got confused and upset.

As for everything else, I think it's safe to say you, "bit more than you could chew" for this party by yourself. Last year you had Exert, other times you've had AGROCulture to help you, this year all you had was your girlfirend, Avana, Angel, and a few other girls helping you run the entire party. Doing shows of this capacity on your own like that is insane.

Maybe now that you know what your limit is, next time you'll either get another partner or just lighten the load on yourself.

I'm really sad to see what happened here, but I can tell you all from first-hand knowledge that Reid Speed is nothing but fantastic. This dork Josh doesn't even consider arranging shit like work-permits for his artists. If he really wanted "everyheadliner ther" he would have at least payed her DEPOSIT. He's a rip-off artist who shouldn't be trusted. Not only did Reid show up and play an AMAZING set in Montreal, she was ENCOURAGED to play different formats. I can understand a promoter booking an artist to play one specific style, but this promoter was literally LOOKING for a reason to get out of paying his artist. Maybe he thought that because Reid's a girl he could walk all over her. She didn't get to where she is today by letting punk-ass-dongs like him rip her off. Dude you deserve alot worse than getting taken to the ground. You deserve a proper beating.

Seriously Reid, I hope you get your money AND your tunes.

also for the record I played at 8am and I didn't use the cd decks b/c cd decks suck and you should all invest your money in a laptop.

You're so full of shit Josh, I can't believe that someone in your position can say things like that. First of all, to get things clear, I don't know Reid Speed. At the end of her set when she had no choice to play dnb because of circumstances already explained in this thread, you showed your face and flipped. You screamed and yelled and you did tell her to stop playing dnb and that if she thinks she's getting paid to forget it, at which point you left without letting her plead her case. When you got back you once again started screaming at her and putting your finger in her face and once again told her she wasn't getting paid. At this point no one's doing anything or trying to help her so I tackled you and held you in a headlock not once punching or kicking you. Telling you to do the right thing and pay the girl. All the while you're crying out like the little pussy you are. You never broke free I let your ass go. What real truth are you talking about when you say you caught me. I was escorted to the gates by your so called "security" for a setup while your walking along beside us like 10 feet away staring me down. I got to the gate, they told me to wait, so I did. There's a cop at the front gate waiting to be invited on the property while I'm still talking to a security guy and out of no where I get suckered by a buddy of yours (I know he was a buddy of yours cause security dude let it slip out of his mouth when he was explaining what happened to the cop) and your "security" does nothing but why would they you're the one paying them. The cop saw all of this and your security never let him on the property until the guy that suckered me was gone. By the way, tell the guy that suckered me to follow through next time and not pull back maybe then I might've hit the ground and not stood up thinking, "that's it, that's all you got." So the cop tells me because of that he's not going to do anything. He escorts me along with one of the security guys to go find my ride. We can't find him so I just get let out of the gates and wait by my ride until they showed up. All your talk about Reid getting me to jump you and her telling me to do it is bullshit. I don't know her. I had just seen what was transpiring and felt that you were treating her like garbage and that she was be wronged. That's my side.
