Dear,

FUCK YOU. Sincerley, Veni |

Very well said! There is ppl like this everywhere! I just ignore the ones in my office. But you have to remember that even when you think that no one notices, there is always at least one who does. And they don't just notice that the others are slacking but also that you are doing your job as well. It will pay off in the long run :)
Keep doing your best! |

uggh veni, that must be so frustrating.
I work on a very small team right now and it's good because for the most part we mesh really well together, so naturally we can get what we need done quickly and efficiently. That being said, there is still the 'bad apple' of the team. She constantly whines, constantly. She'll whine and moan to us even when the majority of us are tapping away at our work and wearing headphones. It also comes to a point where every single day so far, I've had to remind her that she has certain duties she has to attend to at the same time every day, she thinks that if she just doesn't do them everyone won't be paying attention and she can get away with it, which is totally annoying. Did I mention she has a lisp? UGH! |

Nice thing about my work is if I complain about a new worker being a slacker, *boot!*
Oh, yes. I abuse my limited powers of persuasion with management. I stand for NO SLACKIN' on the night shift, man. ...unless it's a light work load that night. Then, hell, 45 minute breaks for all! |

we have plenty of them at work. ive noticed much more now that im not just behind the bar. they don't think they should have to lift a finger for anyone else but the second they have a full section...they are the first to bark demands at everyone aroound them. as for getting off and hanging around? i really don't understand what that extra 45 mins is going to do for them? its what? $5.75 more than had they gone when their tables left? when im done...im the first one to get the hell out of their!
whats even worse is we have the 'untouchables'. they are the biggest slackers who have the most servers errors who get anything and everything they want. from shifts to sections to days off to even getting away with un-spec uniforms. all because they ski/golf/gamble etc with the g.m. |

Is it just me or is service around town reaaaally starting to slack?
Anywhere you go, people just dont give two shits about their job and you find yourself being sooo frustrated that its either taking waaay too long, they dont understand wtf they're doing, or you know and it pisses u off that they cant get it throught their thick skulls. Honestly, do people just not care anymore? or is society just loosing brain cells in general? |

i think the thing that bothers me/ boggles me the most is they picked her to be a part time shift leader.. so not only do i have to work with the douche bag... i have to work with her once a week where she is "in charge" .. and even then she doesnt do SHIT!!! i dont know whos shes screwin around with .. but fuck.... its rediculous... i didnt know that shift leading once a week gives you a priviledge of standing around and doing nothing... its super fusterating because i bust my ass and am a super hard worker... i would really love to be able to say something to management.. but that would just make me look like a complainer....and they just let her get away with it anyways cause shes the biggest kiss ass ive ever met in my life..
ashlee... i totally know what you mean about people standing around after work... seriously... i just worked an 8 hour shift with no break.. why the hell would i want to stick around?... wtf. get a life or go home!!! GRRRRRRRR. |

Its an occupational hazard. Some servers work so hard, youd think they started in the kitchen, while others spend two hours working and six hours doing their cash out, while someone else is busting a double, has a 20 table section and hasnt even had time to grab a stale piece of food left on the pass-through. I feel your pain yo. Talk to your sous chef. They ALWAYS have creative ways to deal with slackers! g'luck! ps. What restaurant?? |
|
|||
^^ ya.. thatd work if she wasnt all googley eyes with the chef as well...
*gag* i seriously cant understand how people get thru life like this... i really cant.. im not the type of person who ass kisses my way into things... i dont know.. i like to work hard for things and i hope in the long run it pays off.. cause right now its working against me. |

hired for their looks?
no way!!!!!! :P i like to think that those people will just get what comes around, screwed later in life by a younger, tighter, more puckered model of their past self. but thats just a pipe dream......they will kiss ass all the way to the top and leave even steeper steps to climb for others with integrity. |

Ahh yes the work slacker, look at it vegatate in its native environment of doing nothing.... comfortable, relaxed and ANNOYING! holy crap selfish people who only think about themselvs, while making your tasks take twice as long.. not fun. If it was called doing nothing instead of work they would have it made.
