The Lidateks are a standalone laser jammer. Each unit is the size of a Zippo lighter and contains a actual laser gun diode inside. The return laser pulse from them is about 10 times stronger than the LEDs used in the Passports jammers.

You can use the Lidateks in conjunction with any standalong radar detector.

I didn't pay $1600US for mine.

I bought mine at Performance Car Stereo which is an authorized dealer. I got mine installed with tax for $1800 and it is worth every penny. If you need a hookup let me know as I know the sales manager there. The installer is also one of the best I have seen.

Considering the ride you have and its potential I would strongly suggest you get some detection/protection as cops with rada and laser guns will target you instead of the Honda beside you.

now you get 2 speeding tickets and the same amount of points it takes to lose your licence (if you have an N) which Im sure you don't.. but yea. ohhhh your such a perfect driver eh?

Avana I totaly know your pain. Ive very rarely ever gone 20km's over the speed limit. Personaly I feel I would deserve a $50-$75 fine. Instead ive gotten $135/$175 and the $150.00 for the 3 points each. And the fine was due ON MY BIRTHDAY... FUCK THAT SHIT UP!
I slow down when I see kids, parks, or its a busy area. However because there on the crack down for reakless shitty drivers I get this. Once I was passing someone and once I was on an open highway... give me a break, how dangerouse was I really? And there always in the areas that are the hardest to keep to the limit.

What's really pissed me off is I can't get my class 4 untill im under 4 points. Well two ticekts = 6, I have to wait 2 years for them to be taken off. Even though Ive been driving for 7 years and have recieve my only two speeding tickets in a 2 month span.

If you really want to throw up at the point/fine system... check out the list of all minimum fines and points. Its a harsh world out there.

That is my point. I am not a wreckless driver, and my insurance and driving record shows that much. I do the limit in school zones, I stop at unmanned/unlighted pedestrian stops, when no one else will. I let people in, I don't cut people off. And the two times I am speeding, I get caught. Which is fine, I was speeding, I will lay in my bed, I made it. But still, there are a lot of other people in Vancouver, who should not have a license.

I think the most fucked up speeding experience was when i used to race to Richmond from White Rock every morning at around 5am.

There was hardly anyone on the highway so i'd drive fast.

One morning i coming racing onto the highway and get in the left lane to pass some draggers. Some guy gets really close behind me so i start speeding up. Often you'll have some charge you wanting to tag along as a speed bitch. So i start getting up to around 130 and he's still tailing me. I start going faster and faster until he pulls in the right side and it's a flaming pissed off cop.

He pulls me over and screams at me asking what i'm doing. I told him i felt pressured to drive faster and he rightfully said how stupid i was but never gave me a ticket because he was just ending his shift and it was too much of a hassle for him lol. He could have royally fucked me.
