Working too much

Well i started a new job about a month ago, and about a week and a half ago i got a raise of 2$, and like way more responsibilities etc and ill be the first to say that the raise is nice but god damn im tired. Last night was the first night ive had off in 2 weeks.

I know with more money comes more responsibilities but god damnit i need a weekend off. And apparently my boss just told me we're booked 2.5 weeks in advance.

SOMEONE RESCUE ME.

doesn't the law says you have to get a certain number of days off after a certain number of days worked.

I'd look into this because you deserve a day or two off!

There is a policy in the LRB about the amount of regular hours and overtime hours one should be recommended to work for fair labor practices. Also depends on the number of hours you work in the day.

well it is partly my fault i mean they're offering me hours so im taking them since i need the money right now, but still its starting to get to me

Don't complain about working too much until you've worked an entire 4 weeks without a day off. :)

The Cheques are worth it... but don't burn yourself out. It really sucks when you finally crash. I've been there a couple times already.

sounds like you could use a break. hey has anyone heard a rumor about the government removing some bylaws around our breaks? cause i've heard a few guys at work say that our breaks are being taken away which would really suck.

I havent heard anything about that. and i dont think they could or will do that. people would protest and stop working, that goes against human rights

I think that my record was 3 months without a day off... but then some days I only worked a couple hours. And I worked with all my friends/roomates so that made it easier

Taking hours can be addictive. I did it when I was working @ eBay. I took a graveyard because it was good money and convinced myself that the retarded sleep patter was healthy, 45+ plus a week, and bad eating habits got me through. You gotta do what you gotta do......just be careful:D

Word on the Street is that the Bus System in Surrey really isn't all that bad. :p

Trust me, it's better than Mississauga, York Region, Durham Region and even Kingston.

hahah well i dont think there were buses running along there its a new sub division they are building( I was doing Re-bar ) i only had to walk to the tim hortons where i sat in the rain for like an hour before my ride came

I rock that at work myself once in awhile. It's shitty stuff though... you move an inch and it tears apart.

hahahah on a day like today i dont mind wearing the duck suit, my roomate just got home and he was drenched cause he didnt have his

poor sap :P

My only complaint about it, is that when i get too hot from working i want to take it off but then ill get wet :(
