Yes, I am certain that this anomaly is completely unique to BC and "BC people only".

Did you see the part where I said I'm never buying furniture from there again?

Does that address your moronic concern?

For the record, I finished the desk and it looks decent and works fine.

People who say "I've never had any trouble", are you aware that IKEA has different types of furniture, and that some might be more complex than others?

Also for the record, part of the reason I'm not interested in buying any more large items from them anymore is the style issue.. as Winston said, a lot of their stuff just looks kind of crap (although my desk is of the "real wood" variety).

ALSO for the record, as I sort of hinted at, I probably would still buy small items from there because they are hella cheap and sometimes functional.

With so much stuff on the record, can anyone be unsure of where I stand on the issue of IKEA?

And they have these glass candle holders the double as pretty swank drink coasters.

I dont mind Ikea..I did have a hell of a time putting together a small dresser I bought..I buy the tealights there as well..and Its great for house warming gifts.

As far as Walmart goes..I just dont understand people. I buy toilet paper, cleaning supplise, some groceries and alot of other stuff from Walmart. I am far from 'redneck' I love how people act too good to shop at Walmart or Ikea. Does it honestly matter where your paper towel comes from?

why not try buying stuff from local merchants? might cost a little more but you're pumping money back into local businesses rather than some corporation down in the states. i refuse to shop at walmart due to their shady business practices.

Yesterday 4 Ikea hot dogs for me, total $2. My friend had Swedish meatballs and mini bottle of wine.

^^ I got a $10 Grono light

Some halogen bulbs (hard to find elsewhere) for the Gruva cabinet lights I got a while back

My friend got an medicine cabinet. Then we drove home in his Volvo, up to 210 clicks
