stupid fucking pigs that break up parties
Personally i think its stupid for the cops to come in and shut down parties, cuz what does that accomplish?? they send a buncha kids fucked up on e or whatever out into the cold, rain when the skytrains and buses arent' running, so they either just stand outside and do whatever or pile into cars, still high, and usually pack too many ppl in the vehicles and drive to wherever, usually pretty far either to drop ppl off or go to another party. And while all this is being done thers just a shit load of ppl who were contained inside a building, now pissed off, all just standing outside trying to figure out what to do next.....
now does that make any sense to anyone??

It makes quite a bit of sense... it's called doing their job -- but my god, shut up! I'm sick of you stupid fucken' kids complaining about cops busting your illegal activities.
Maybe you bunch of kids shouldn't be out partying then if you can't handle it, every time you go to a rave, there's a risk that it's going to get shut down, so shut up. If you're nice about it, cops are usually nice and let the party run if you turn it down a bit, at least from the experiences I've had. Once again, they're just doing their job, hell at a few parties, the cops APOLOGIZED for busting the party, or just asked us to turn it down. THEY'RE JUST DOING THEIR JOB!! Is it so hard to comprehend?!? It sure seems so! In closing, SHUT UP YOU FUCKEN' POP CULTURE TWINKIE!! Just because Eminem or whoever thinks cops suck doesn't mean you have to follow the trend. MY GOD IT HURTS MY BRAIN!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

yeah it sux when cops bust shit up but I personally think that cops shouldnt do that because then thers shit loads of kids stranded from far away from home. That happened to me in the summer at WEAK ASS PLAYERS BALL! stranded in east van all tek`d out. I feel ur pain

Dave et. al has never denied the fact that they throw ILLEGAL EVENTS, infact, I have to commend him for being open about that. Wow, fuck those stupid police for doing their job! I'm sorry that this is something you're not used to, and if you don't like it, pay a ton of money to go to the plaza. Yeah, nobody likes it when a party gets shut down, but what are you going to do? Am I the only one who feels rather thankful or lucky after an illegal/underground event happens to go all night without getting busted? It's not easy to do with 200 people, try 600+. Furthermore, I find the disdain people have with police rather disgusting. Yeah, authority is a bitch, but you have to realize we exist in this thing called a society and we all have rules and responsibilities we have to abide by to keep it as peaceful as possible. I see it like this... we r not harming anyone or anything.. sure some us choose to harm ourselves by consuming illicit substances but whatever thats our choice as a person to make. I think that if we arent disrespecting anyone or anything there shouldnt be a problem.

I realize that they are doing their jobs, but from my point of veiw a police's job is, or SHOULD be, more about protecting people. Now if they were to warn us, even fine someone or tell us the parties over as soon as any form of transit is running, I think that would be alot more safer than setting 600+ fucked up kids out into the streets in the middle of the night to either drive home (probably) high and/or drunk or to wander the streets to either fend for themselves or cause more problems.
It just doesn't make sense to me, but i'm not going to rag on cops because they are doing their job i just think it should probably be re-assesed who they are trying to protect, if anyone, or if they are just doing what they are supposed to because "raving is bad". Obviously there should be preventative matters to keep illegal parties from happening, and punishments when they do. But endangering the people in the party, in the neighboorhood, and anyone a high drier will encounter on the way home, just seems stupid to me. Whatever these ravers decide to do to themselves in a contained area is their choice. As far as I know proper measures where taken to ensure as much safety as possible (security and first aid?), but putting hundreds of innocent people at risk because they busted an illegal party seems sensless. And yes I don't think people should even get hammered ALL night, or stay up doing drugs then drive home in the morning, there's nothing to stop them from getting high or drunk, then getting in a car after the party has been busted and they had no time to sober up. People are dumb, calling them that won't help the matter, they need to be dealt with in situations like that.. not let loose on the streets. Even if the cops have to stick around to make sure things stay under control, so be it. If they care oh so much that wouldn't be much of a deal.

why should they condone kids doing drugs?
if kids want to do drugs (illegal) they should go to their raves, and do drugs, and then not bitch about the police shutting down a party (that is not legal) so in a round a bout way, the police are protecting these children, by not condoning drugs, and doing what these kids parents want ((them not going to illegal raves, where they will be doing drugs) so maybe .....what these stranded kids on drugs should do, is call home to mommy and daddy, and get a ride home. and get some sleep, so they can be unsketchy enough to go to school on monday morning. OR. they should be smart enough to have lined up a ride ahead of time.

have you actually talked to cops that have busted up a party?
they are a nice buncha guys, they're just doing their job! and they some do apologize some also understand that it's not a good idea to have kids wandering the streets at 3am, but they have to break the party up, it's the law and their job to enforce it so stop whining already, if a party is illegally held, you know the risks

As for kids driving while fucked up that is still there choice to make even if the party gets busted. I've sat and chilled out after many a party was broken up because our driver was to fucked up to drive. Did all of you notice the lack of riot cops arresting any who didn't clear the area? They just told us we had to leave the party, they didn't say go and drive your cars away while you are all ripped!
