Safeway meat department

Those stupid mofos dont know how to date stamp properly. Or they dont know how to refrigerate their steak.

I buy a nice big red steak and get home. open up the package and under the sticker is sorta browny. wtf. So I go to smell the steak. It was game over for this steak a loooong time ago. So i cut it open in the middle (where it looks red) and guess what? its only red for like a millimeter down and the rest is brown. effing gross.

Piss me off, I was looking forward to steak din dins. Now my din dins is in the trash can.

i hate safeway as well. What a hole. it just happens to be on my way back to my house on a bus route, so its most convenient. When i can shop other places (like save-on) i definatly do.

I've never had any problems with the Safeway meat dept by my house, always quality cuts and they will sauce and season your steak for you... MMMM I am so BBQin this weekend now..

the safeway here is brand spankin new it's pretty damn balla i must say. thrifty foods has better quality for sure, but you mainlanders don't have thrifty steez.

I have never gotten meat from a grocery store to find that it is not ok..

but on a side note regarding grocery stores..

I was in a PriceSmart store (the new save on I guess) and right next the meat section and I mean face the meat and turn around theres A WALL OF CANDY.

I love the self-serve checkouts. They're at most Grocery Stores out here. If I've only got a few things and don't want to wait behind the Soccer Moms with 1,000lbs of shit it's great.
