I dont know what to do.... pet owner problems...

my cats wake me up everyday between 5 - 6 am.

it's a great alarm clock except that I don't need to get up until 8am.

my cats use the litterbox and go crazy every day before bed.. but i can't do anything about it. they used to be outdoors now they are stuck in my apartment.

My cat sometimes decides that @ 5am she's the fucking center of the universe and must be fed immediately.

She decides this should be announced as loudly as possible with the loudest I AM IN HEAT FUCK ME meowing ever heard coupled with hooking her claws under our bedroom door and basically bashing the door back and forth until I wake up and throw her ass across the backyard.

my cats have food in their dish, they will meow until i get out of my warm bed, take a few steps into the kitchen and turn on the light and point out that they do have food.

I might just have to sleep with the kitchen light on.

Last night was the breaking point for me... Ive tired being nice. I sleep with ear plugs in because my boyfriend sometimes snores... I could hear him with them in... :S

I hate living, where I have to worry about my stuff being pissed on... or worrying about being kicked out of my place because this cat wont stop howling.

My cats do the same as yours do in the morning when they need to be fed or want some attention. I would be ok with her cat doing that... but it sounds like he is being run over or is seriously hurt. I live in an apartment building and I feel bad for some of the young families who have children who need to go to school in the morning... Even the people in the back of our building can hear him howling in the front.

Tonight is where I "grow balls"... and let her know that she can live else where with her cat.


If I was in her shoes my cats would have another home or I would have offered to leave... But it always comes back in my face like its my problem and that I am a bitch for feeling this way.

Why is the cat peeing inside? Just because it was allowed outdoors means it isn't litter trained?? Cats pick sand over anything else to go to the bathroom in. This cat obviously doesn't like your cats. I bet if you re-locate him he'll stop peeing. I can't imagine moving in with someone who has cats that makes my cat pee all over the house. I couldn't give him away. Your poor friend.

I could see him peeing on our cats bed... or where they chill in our house if he didn't like them. But he will pee inside of backpacks, in shoes...

He will not use the litter box... and we live on the second floor of our building.

I feel bad for my friend... Ive tried being nice and I see where she is coming from but what would you do? Keep him locked in a room all day and kick him out to the cold whenever you aren't home??

a few questions...

*is he fixed
*do you have a water bottle(works great when they are bad and they run)
*is his litter pan nice and clean

most pets do it for a few reason these will limit a few of them

he might be doing it for attention...bad or good.

i personally have 3 cats. one started this habit and found its cause shes an effin princess who need the litter cleaned everyday,...which your suppose to do anyways but i sometimes forget. i wish you luck hunny <3

my cat was doing that same thing.. (not quite as extreme though.. just on the floor) ... i took him to the vet and he ruled out all sorts of problems.. like UTI.. diet.. litter box...ect ect.... and it came down to him being "stressed" cause theyve been doing construction in our building all summer.. apparently any little thing can throw your cat off and "stress" it out.... which can cause them to spray.... (moving around, having other cats around, and being indoor now is probably stressing her cat out)
i tried everything... probably went thru 50 litres of natures miracle to try and get him to stop peeing in the same spot which totally didnt work... moved his food to the area where he was peeing which worked till he just found a new spot to pee... so my last resort was reccomended to me by a friend whos mom has like 10 cats.... 1 of which was doing the same thing.. and she was using FELIWAY .. which is a like one of those glade plug in oil things but with cat phermones in it to helps them relax and reduce stress... it was my last hope.. its a month later now.. and NO MORE PEEING!!!! it was 90 bucks well spent... im really lucky i have a very understanding roomie that put up with it... and really happy we finally solved the problem

Ive been understanding for the past 4 months... I'm just tired of cleaning up pee around my house... and having a howling cat wake me up.

But thanks for the tip! I'll tell her about it and we'll see if it works!

stop being passive aggresive about it and give her notice to move. you lose the right to complain about it if all you are going to do is complain. if she is your friend, the friendship will withstand it.

your totally being understanding!!! its hard from both sides when noone knows how to fix the sitation...she doesnt want to have to give the cat away.. and you dont want to lose a friendship over it..... its a toughie!

my sister has a cat and she had someone take care of him a while back. while he was there, he terrorized the other cats of the house and basically took over the litter box and the other cats ended up peeing everywhere and anywhere.
this same cat, whenever it got pissed at her for letting her dog into the room, would piss on her bed.
