Businesses that close before their closing time

ARGH!
This drives me insane. If your sign says you are open until 10:00pm, you damn well better stay open until 10:00pm! Good god! It's not even like I wanted to go in and buy something - I have a freaking membership, you need to stay open so I can use the membership I damn well paid for! @#$%

There is this bagel place on the North Shore that is kind of like that. I'm not sure if they are open to the last minute, but it seems like every time I go there they are closed. They have certain store hours, but they always seem to be changing, and when I go when they say they are going to be open like this Saturday, they decide they are going to be closed for the whole weekend, including Monday. RAWR!!!

Why? I love it. More customers = more money in my tills = more money in my pocket come bonus time. Without customers we don't have jobs!

And this business closed over an hour early. That's ridiculous.

Rememberance day was yesterday. People who got today off as a 'stat' did so because they had one of their regular days off as a holiday. With that in mind, people had adequate time to do all the remembering they wanted yesterday, and people like me should live their cupcake dreams

I once came all the way from Van to Abby just to eat at my favorite sushi place. Anyway, I got there at 9:30pm and the place looked empty... but I thought it should still be open till 10pm like it says - and so I walked in there, and EVERYONE working there just stopped - and gave me a weird stare... as if they were all thinking "wtf are you doing here? don't you know we are fucking closed already??"

God that pissed me off so much.

Yesterday I wanted to get a pedicure. I called the place I went to last time to make sure that they'd be open. The lady that answered the phone said that the shop was open and that the pedi-lady was in. So I drive down about 2 hours later (@ 2pm) and the shop was closed : |

i know at my work if you get in our doors before we close we help you until your finished.

ive been with a customer till 630 when we close at 6, its common.

when your open till a certain time it should mean if you get there before the time you get helped, and not get a guilt trip about it either

Some people work to live, some live to work...

If there's nobody around for three hours on a Monday night and the boss doesn't want to pay you any more, it's kinda hard to say no to taking an early night in.

I agree. I've sat here hours past close with clients.

While we're on the topic though, clients who walk in when the shop is clearly closed are effing rude.

last night, our sliding malldoor thingo was completely shut, we had been closed for 15 minutes, I was doing banking and this guy just pulled it open, let himself in, came walking over expecting service.

He asked me for an airfare and I told him he was more than welcome to come back in the morning when we were open. He was completely oblivious that I was absolutely livid. Seriously, that's like coming in my house without knocking. Taught me a lesson though, I am so locking the door from now on.
