If they don't open the mountain up for a certain number of days, season pass holders get a refund on their pass next year.

So they announce that they will open for the Winster season tomorrow so the count can begin.

Great right?

The open one chair and ONE FUCKING RUN!!! OOPS! I forgot the bunny hill is open too.

It almost makes me want to move to Surrey so I can go to Baker to ride instead.

Maybe I should take my race board out and warp down the runs and see what 'Speed Patrol' has to say.

My excuse? You only have ONE run open. Where else can I go?

Cypress has seemed to go downhill (haha that's a good pun!) since they changed owners maybe two or so years ago..

I wouldn't say Cypress have gone downhill, but the new US owners are trying to make a profit or get some money back after putting in the new chairlift and changes.

That's cool, but they are using pretty slimey tactics in my opinion to do so.

Last year they go on a 'Beach Pass' blitz to sell all these 'ride until the end of the season' passes which normally goes until May. Or they did in previous years.

So what do they do? Shut down the mountain in the middle of April after they take your money even when there is still lots of snow up there.

The price hikes are pretty severe and I got lucky I renewed on a corporate package so I only got nailed and extra $50 for my pass.

Cypress is still the best local mountain to play on, but they better have some better PR people come in because it is starting to suck.
