What exactly is your delivery range?

Lately pizza places I call seem shocked that I want something delivered near Cambie and 49th. I had Freshslices at Cambie/Broadway and Victoria and 41st tell me they'd charge me extra, or that I wasn't in their "range".

Today the guy at Zacharay's.. OAK AND SIXTEENTH.

"Whoa whoa.. what area are you in sir?"

"Uh around Cambie and 49th"

"(big sigh) Huh...."

" ...."

"That's like, past the liquor store right? Past Oakridge?"

"yep"

"Huh... hmm.. yea it'll be another $3 extra to go that far..."

"Yeah, well you know what, don't worry about it because I just won't order from you then"

"Ok.. what??"

OK how are they delivering their pizzas? Because if it's by foot then alright, that's a pretty decent hike, but if they're using anything resembling a car, that is a fucking TEN MINUTE DRIVE TOPS. Do you only deliver if someone calls from your block??



Time to try someone else..

Perhaps they are in league? Is this possibly all resulting from an upcoming Pizza-ordering iPhone app?

no kidding. Hon's on robson won't deliver past the bridges. even if you work a block away from a bridge. and not even if you bribe with a big tip.

iPizza. It's just a matter of time.

Speaking of time, I placed my order at Firewood pizza a good hour ago. They called back 15 minutes in because they'd written down the street name wrong. Now I assume the guy is just completely lost.

Yet when I google map my address I get an exact pinpoint right on my lobby's front door.

Because passed Oakridge is about a minute drive longer... maybe one more light or two.

Is there still Dominoes Pizza on 49th and Oak? Or is that not good enough?

Pizza was eventually delivered by Firewood, pretty tasty but they chintzed out a bit on the meat. And it was expensive.

why don't you try ordering from a chain like panago?

According to google map there are a ton of places. I find it hard to believe that its hard to find a place to deliver in a college area, plus you are near Main, Granville, Cambie, and 41st... should be something!!!
