ticket buyer: "will there be showers [at Shambhala]?" me: "i'm not sure, but there is a river..." ticket buyer: "is it a fresh water river?" ticket buyer: "is [Dimitri from Paris] at a bar?" me:"yes, it's at Bar None." ticket buyer: "will I have to drink there? or can i just order coffee or tea?" ticket buyer (by phone): "Where are you located?" me: "On Burrard, south of Davie, between Davie & Drake" ticket buyer: "no, there's just a bunch of apartment buildings there." me: "um... i'm quite sure we're between Davie & Drake, we've been here 4 years..." ticket buyer: "so you're by St. Paul's hospital then?" |

^that's gay, why would i want to give up a great word like 'retard' just because some assholes gave it a negative connotation. just like gay folks took back 'fag' and african americans took back '*****', let's give 'retard' back to it's rightful owners - THE STOOPID PEOPLE.

the idiocy of people never ceases to fail me. I deal with it all day too. They call my salon......
client- can i book an appointment with one of your stylists me- sure, i'll book u with Fred client- (sounding really worried) well, is Fred good, you know i dont want someone who's not good. Does he know what hes doing, would YOU let him cut your hair. oh its a good job you asked, Fred sucks, infact all of our stylists suck. Maybe you shouold call another salon. client - okay i want a big change, but please dont take off more than 1/2 an inch, and i HATE bangs. me - uuummm okay.... pfft. many more....... |

maybe the term 'retard' is too vague. seeing as how some are born nuturally lacking the mental capacity to process thought, while other are simply ignorant and close minded.
some other things that would also benefit consideration: =how much of what has impaired their logic? =was there any logic to begin with? =is the subject really worth your time or energy? =the relevance of this response. i'll admit i've had my "retarded" moments, maybe more so than most, but i find it unfair to label those born with a natural shortfall to be classified such an ugly word. It is the close minded, ignorant, and hating citizens that hold back and weaken others that deserve the title of "retards". |
