people talked about kids who took autoshop as some sort of cop out for a 'real' education - but seriously, car fixing would come in handy a lot more then the quadratic equation has

*sigh*

I hope you didnt bring it in to Canadian Tire! The workers there are supposed to tell you that your shit needs replacing when it really doesnt. I have heard of a lot of people who have quit from there because that is common practice for that company and they thought it was very unethical.. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR THERE EVER!

I was at my local Canadian Tire why just the other day getting keys cut and in the service department there was a quite the noise - so naturaly I looked

it seems one of these widely experienced mechanics had put an lady's car on the lift wrong and the car slipped sideways when they were hoisting it and fell like a half a foot and caused some serious damage to the side of the car
and the lady was there
and she was freaking out
and there were rounds of 'sorries' being doled out

So - yeah - i would not be bringing the car to Canadian Tire, it's damaged enough as it is

Ugh. I would really just like to have the money to get a new car...
I have a crappy Ford Festiva. Sure, it's gotten me from point a to point b, but it would make much more sense for me to get a new car...it just cost me $500 to get all the lights working in my car again (new relay switch and new headlight switch). This is the SECOND time I've had to replace these two parts in the 2 years that I've had the car...CRAPPY.
