I am convinced that smokers don't give a fuck about themselves or the people around them especially those who start after the age of 18. You have to be pretty fucking ignorant to start such a thing. I have had my share of addictions in the past but I have to admit how ignorant i was and how day after day I think of ways to get the days i wasted sleeping, or sick back.

Smokers blow their smoke in your face, drop their buts on the ground, start fires, pollute air, cough, cough in your face, burn themselves by accident, burn holes in their car upholstry, fill up my car with smoke if I have the A/C on and they're driving in front of me, give themselves diseases, leave family members behind after they die from smoking, I could go on and on and on *exhales*

I smoke the occasional Cigar, but I make sure it's in a well ventilated area and make sure to dispose of the butt correctly.

My dad is a pretty heavy smoker, so I am kind of used to it. He started when he was 8, no lie.

Sure... there's a good percentage of smokers that fit this catagory. Should we all be blind to the fact that some smokers actually do give a shit about others and ARE polite enough to go out of their way to make non-smokers comfortable around them?

Let face it people you can't judge whole catagories on a few bad experiences because there's always an exception.

well u must not be talking about me. im a smoker of 8 years. yes i do throw buts on the floor but i am very polite when smoking in peoples cars. First obviously ill ask for permission, if aloud ill tell them to open the sunroom if im sitting in the back cause all smokers know ashing out the backwindow is just asking for trouble. If theres non smokers around me i tend to keep aside and try to not pollute ther ass.

Yes I am a smoker but by stereotyping...Fuck not everyone is like that...I have a three year old sister let alone alot of family members and friends that dislike smoking and I do take it in to concideration that I maybe shouldn't smoke around them...I never smoke around my lil sister because I don't need her to be breathing in the stuff I am breathing in which is twice as worse as what I inhale...It ain't something that is easy to quit either...As much as I would like to...It takes time and effort...

driving is something that helps most people out. You can get to places you wouldnt be able to without a car and you can get there faster. You can transport things and you can transport people to different places. Of course cars do some shitty things to the enviroment but they're helping alot of people do alot of things.

What does smoking do for anyone?

This thread isn't ignorant at all... Mateo is entitled to his own beliefs and opinions which he posted. Calling him ignorant because he expressed his views and opinion on smokers is silly.

I agree with certain points of Mateo's post although I don't think all smokers are intentially out to kill other people around them or start fires, etc... Unfortunately smoking is an addiction which is an even stronger addiction nowadays with the chemicals they are putting in cigarettes.

I think in general though it is all about respecting others around you. So... don't assume that the person beside you is a smoker so have some tact if you need to light up. Also... grab half a brain with your cigratte buts when walking and smoking or driving and smoking. Smokers are the reason for a lot of forrest fires.

Mad WERD girl.. i am the same way... i have a 13 yr old brotha and even tho hes older i still dont smoke around him.. i always try to stand downwind.. and i live in seattle, with abuncha hippies... i could NEVER get away with throwing a cig butt onthe ground w/out getting mad shit for it... so i dont ever. and it does take alot of work to quit, and im not ready to put that much into it. i wish i could smoke right now. haha.

the one that got to me the most was the pic of the limp cigarette. you know, that one that says that smoking can lead to losing the ability of getting an errection.

i agree with mateo, most smokers dont give a fuck.. for example, when i was working this spring/summer i had to put up with stupid fucks smoking in the company vehicles on the way to work practically EVERYDAY, regardless that there are big signs inside of them that clearly say NO SMOKING and and the first company regulation was no smoking in company vehicles at any time.. no smoking means you cant fucking smoke you stupid fucks.. i dont give a fucking shit how long the ride is to the worksite either.. if you cant handle you're fucking cravings for a cigarette you shouldn't have fucking started in the first place... fuck.
