anyone HALLUCINATE when they're really tired?

Actually, yes, I have. I was up for about 48 hours straight (with no stimulants or illegal drugs of any kind) and I saw the Carpet moving, walls breathing... heard voices... But when I was up for 72 hours with just Caffiene I was fine. But SOOOOOO DEAD.

Chances are you have an experience of being in the hypnogogic state. This is perfect to engage into astral travel, if you're into that sort of thing.

i hate being tired and hallucinating..i'll either see people walk by me..(there are no people)..or the letters to wutever i am reading begin to fly around my head..its confusing..

I'm glad I'm not the only CRAZY in here. :)

So anyways, a couple of days ago when pulling an all-nighter I heard voices when I was studying.. the rain was speaking to me and stuff.
The night after while i was watching t.v. i kept seeing spiders crawl around in my basement...
Another day after pulling an all-nighter I was bussing home from work and I saw a tall skinny guy doing stretches on the handle bars inside the bus... realizing that was kind of weird concept I took a better look, and realized that there was no one there. I thought that maybe it was just a reflection on the glass of someone at the back of the bus, so I turned around but there was noone in the back of the bus..

Never program while severely sleep deprived. You'll have the most MESSED UP mind hallucinations. Like thoughts turn to putty, and get run over by a steamroller with a paisley pattern on the drum. Then a split second later, you're back to normal. (Except you're really confused as to WTF just happened.)

Sadly I can't even begin to describe the effect.

It is? that makes complete sense but I always get kind of uncomfortable when I'm in that stage involuntarily. Probably because it usually consists of seeing huge spiders constructed of thread walking toward my head on my pillow, a strange black man appearing naked beside me in my bed, or people crying. Oh and can't forget the sixth sense-style visits I get. And I really dislike the feeling of not being able to move when such things are happening. I would probably feel more comfortable if I could move a bit or communicate with who or what appears. I often try to get out of it, maybe I should just tough it out and explore it more.

hell ya i do, and even if someone is talking to me, i hear what i want to hear. lol. and i give them a reply that has nothign to do with anything, im told.

thats hilarious stuff. scary. but hilarious. im glad it doenst happen to me. but ive seen it happening to many a sleep deprived friends. muahahah:)
