I got a cell from my parents for x-mas......I got them to agree by telling them that it would make it easier to get ahold of me.....they had to agree cause one of them had to co-sign for it......my mom paid for the acctivation fee the phone and the car charger.....I pay the acctual bill......so what I'm getting at is don't take your parents paying for your bill for granted......be glad they just don't cancle it on you........and as for your parents wanting you to get a job and you bitching about having to do 80 hours for school and shit.....80 hours is nothing....I did that in about 4 weeks when I was in school........and for a 17 year old having a job isn't the worst thing on the planet.......what are you afraid of?......your parents will make you (god forbid) pay your own cell phone bill?......now there's an evil concept

Well from my experiance that is what it takes some times to get through to people it may piss her off it may open her eyes either way she is gonna read it and have to think about it. If it makes her have a revelation about her situation then hey all the better. If it pisses her off and makes her angry at me well she will get over it they always do when I tell it like it is. I have told best friends off who I thought were fucking up Ive been punched and yelled at for it but ya know what they come back being better friends then they were before.

theres a difference between being a friend
and being a shit head
by calling people childish and starting just pointless crap is not making the issue better
its not constructive
all its gonna do is piss the person off and what good is that gonna do?
they are gonna be less prone to reason
and arent gonna learn shit
if you explain to them the reason in a manner so they know you understand they are mad but show them the reason to why this happened
you might get a better response from them and they might stop being so pissed off and realize they are being dumb

I agree some who dont know her did attack but it is to be expected on a public forum which has members who live in reality and pay thiere own way.

But in my idealism I cant see some one saying "awwww poor you thats tottally harsh your parents fucking suck I cant believe they did that to you" being of much help either because it just re-enforced a negative stance to a fact of life that if your parents buy your somthing and are paying for it they have a right to say how it should be used no ifs ands or buts.

Yes more then likley most of the people arnt living at home and are older but I know a few of em are still in thiere but were brought up differently and have a different set of core values and beliefs..

I've paid for my phone, and I always have.
My dad may have bought the actually phone for me as a gift (which I was very greatful) but I pay the bills.
Pay as you go can come in handy when you don't have money all the time, it also teaches you not to yap on your phone when there is a perfectly good land line in the house or even msn.
