^ always have. You should see their 2nd match.

This was the end of the MW Grand Prix and they had both been in fights before on the same night (both very good fights too - Silva vs Yoshida and Rampage vs Chuck Liddel).

Actully, the whole PPV is one of the best I've seen.

Only a fool would say UFC is better then Pride. Pride is by better in every way. Never knew till now there are quite a few Pride fans up here on fnk. Friends were even pondering to go to the middle weight final next month in Japan but that didnt quite work out. But i must go see an event. Ricardo Arona is the man.

^ neither won - it was a draw. The K1 guys wanted special rules for that match and one of them was that if it went all 3 rounds, the fight would be declared a draw so judges had no say in the matter.

Other special rules were that ground fighting was limited to takedowns or something so they got stood up all the time. Considering that Silva has a black belt in BJJ, (and at the time crocop was utterly green to any form of ground fighting) I think Silva could have taken it in full MMA rules.

However now that crocop has had far more experience in true MMA fighting, it might be a different story.
