clients who can't handle their own

this is getting so ridiculous.

i just got a call from my sales rep, who was just speaking with one of our clients who seems to be in a panic over an order they should've recieved.

we shipped it out tuesday, for overnight to edmonton. being thursday, i'm assuming that it should be there already, unless kindersley fucked around on us (which they've done before). a little annoyed, i give them a call to track down the truck and find out the details.

and what do they tell me?

oh! the trucks been in edmonton since tuesday morning and the morons over in receiving on my clients end WOULDN'T ACCEPT IT, and didn't schedule the appointment for acceptance until friday morning at 9:30am.

MORONS!

we put up the cost of overnight shipping because we were late on production (which is hard to avoid when they don't give us enough time), and they don't even bother accepting it, and then freak out at us.

yeah..i remember a shipment of supplies being shipped to a store cuz they were to be used the next night..and the truck sat outside the store for 4hrs and no one would accept the shipment..its retarded!

these guys are almost as bad as the ones who call a week after a shipment arrives, panicking because they can't find it. like i'm supposed to magically know where you keep all your stock?

My favourite was always when they would call and bitch that their order hadn't arrived yet, so I'd track it, e-mail them the signature, and call them back only to discover that it was THEM who signed for it in the first place!

People think retail is bad...I'll take it any day over the stupid idiots I had to deal with in wholesale!

natalie - it's almost like some people think that tracking means you can find it ANYWHERE. i seriously wonder sometimes how these companies survive being run by such morons. i don't think i'd want to do retail or wholesale. inside sales is where i'm at right now, and it's good. i love most my clients, and they love me (especially the older men! hah!) there's always just going to be a few dickshits.

Inside Sales for an apparel wholesaler is what I did. They wanted me to move into outside sales...ah yeah no thanks!
My male clients loved me...I got asked out by 5 of them when I quit. Ew.

Yeah, I'll leave outside sales to my sales reps. Not something I want to do.. Haha.

Mine don't love me like that (or not that I noticed.) One of them says I remind him of his granddaughter!
