you'd have to find a way to raise him skeptical, and not blind/clueless. you'd want him to watch all this shit and come to the right decisions himself. you can't be there to slap em on the head at all times.

you do have a very good point... a lady across the street had a son who was a couple years younger then me, and he used to play with us(the neighbourhood kids) sometimes. His mother wouldn't let him watch t.v.(power rangers) and wouldn't let him play video games or anything.. and i remember thinking even as young as i was that that didn't make any sense because he was the most violent one out of all of us.. he didn't know personal boundries or anything, and i thought that was because he never learned what happened to people when violent things really did happen.. the only outcome he saw was like, say, wild.e.cyote falling off a cliff and landing in a big cloud of dust,... but was right up and running a min later. no injuries. and i agree..even then at age 5,6,7 i thought that it was horrible parenting

i meant it more in a general manner..

i'm going to encourage them to do other things.... and i'm sure lots of kids, if their parents allowed it, would sit around watching t.v., playing video games, sitting on the computer all day if they could.


i dunno.. thats the way my parents raised me and i know i am pretty naive about some things, but i think i have a decent grasp of whats what.. and i like to think that it's because i was never bombarded with media.. i was outside playing, being active like kids should be instead of watching t.v.

i know i can't stop them from doing anything.. but i don't agree that i should just let them go at it and do whatever they want either..

that's what parents are for. you'll deffinately need to smack them on the head a few times, and forbid them to do a few things. Otherwise, you'd be careless and irresponsible.

yeah that is true. one of the premiers thinks that if 50 doesnt come to canada that nobody is gonna get shot. he's all thinking cause the last time 50 was in toronto someone got shot outside that its gonna happen again. which is total bs. because it was gang related. it just happened that the idiots got into it while they were waiting to get into 50's show. its not like. ooh its 50 cent lets shoot this kid so we can be cool just like him.. our politicians should be shot in the head. that will stop nothing.
