Doesn't make you look cool. It makes you look like a jerk. It is one of the most unnatractive things a person can do...seriously, grow up a little. I saw this hot girl making fun of some kid who (it looked like) had tourrettes (sp?) on the bus yesterday. She instantly lost all form of any hotness she had. Not cool.

just people being self-centered... they act that way because they just don't care about the feelings of others... all that matters is how they feel, and if its not them then it doesn't matter... if only people would reflect on the pain of others as if it was their own... it gives you a new perspective... I know I don't like being put down, so what would possess me to do that to others?

I would never make fun of someone who has a mental disability... But I do on occasion make fun of people... I’m not going to sit and say I don’t like everyone else in this thread.

Sometimes it feels good to bash someone you hate and is an asshole/bitch/whatever. Venting is healthy at times...

I think that everyone in this thread is saying that they don't like it when ppl make fun of mentaly disable people or ppl that can't do anything about the way that they are. No one ever said that they don't ever make fun of anyone.

Sure everyone says something about someone else once in a while...just not about ppl that can't help it.

Me too.. I had a tendency to befriend the 'outcasts'. Not necessarily the challenged kids but the ones nobody else would be nice or talk to. :)

Yea girl, I totally don't understand the mentality behind it. It is just dumbasses trying to be "cool" at the expense of others. It annoys me to no end. If there was a little more kindness, compassion and courtesy around the world would be a much better place to live in.

Making fun of those who are in a worse spot than you is seriously pathetic. I see it so much though...It makes me sad for where we're headed.

Those people need to grow up. It's not funny, it's just ignorant and mean.

I will never forget being in gr.8 science class and sitting next to some snotty rich brat named Sarah. She was nice to me, but pointed out a Spanish exchange student and said:"Oh my god, just look at those jeans she's wearing!" and proceeded to laugh her haid off. I just rolled my eyes at her, and proceeded to ignore anything that ever came out of her mouth.

what do you about people who are consistently like that? Walk away? Let them continue? If your a person who can walk away, then i got much respect, but theres quite a lot of people out there that continue to spout their angst until someone slaps them across the face with it.

I find it somewhat strange that everyone felt the need to make sure they shared that they dont put down "mentaly challenged" people. It seems somewhat obvious, that this is something you just shouldnt do?
