Crazies downtown..
Yesterday on my lunchbreak, just calmly walking past the wall centre, when this guy who had a coffee cup or something ceramic in his hand, wound up and smashed it as hard as he could on the sidewalk right in front of me.. Pieces shatter everywhere, scares the shit out of me (because I saw it at the last second) and they guy just keeps walking.
Everyone in the near vicinity by now has stopped and is staring at this guy. He walks right by me as I ask him what the fuck he's doing.. the stare was brutal, i totally thought he was going to do something.. but he doesn't. The guy walks away literally screaming incoheritantly at people. I really don't have a problem with most.. But there's a line where people with illnesses or drug addictions become dangerous, and I really thought that this particular guy shouldn't really be able to just walk around in that state. Is there a limit where we should say, 'sorry, you're not fit to be in public anymore?' Dunno, just a rant :)

i was at a flower store downtown yesterday just outside looking at the flowers on the sidewalk and some random dude pushes me to get out of the way..and continues to walk. i was really disturbed.. it wasnt like i was taking up a lot of the room on the side walk, he coulda easily walked around me.. kinda pissed me off, and the ppl that saw it didnt even ask me if i was okay.. just walked right past me. geeez..

things downtown seem too be on its rise in preperation for the summer. fuck all this construction and foreign tradesmen are not going too help either. it's depressing already, i don't know if i can handle it in full swing.
just this past weekend i've seen more needles lying around then ever. in the alley off abott in between hastings and pender they've got a fucking couch set up it's ridiculous. pushing it down a neighbourhood isn't going too solve the problem, i hope someone finds a proper solution soon.

the other day my friend shaun was hit on the leg, purposly, by some old woman. when he asked her what she hit him for, she acted like she had no idea what he was talking about. And then these two girls right behind the woman said she did the same thing to them.

i was downtown last year and this crackhead (i can only assume) kept on following me but i wasnt giving him any of my cash, even though when i walked you could hear the change jingling in my pocket. so i keep on walking (with all this change jingling) and the crackhead guy just wouldn't take no for an answer. to the point where i just started booting it down the sidewalk and even when i was in a full rolling run he was chasing me i was like WTF. so i ran straight into the courthouse (because i knew he wouldnt follow me in there.) and then he left. seriously though i was freaked, i need to carry a tazer around with me to tame some of these psychos.
