Working door to door To see if anyone will act out of kindness? Good LUCK!

I started doing this yesturday...Went to over 100 houses and not 1 said yes I want to save a kid today, even after I said if you take the time today and sponcer its 100% FREE.
Only reason its free is because when you donate you get all the funds you put in back in tax refund AND the program does not start for 6 weeks, so even if you decide you cant afford to still give
the kid you sponcer still gets saved anyway!
yet SO many doors were slamed in my face

i used to do stuff like this over the phone......for childrens burn unit of victoria......and when people said no i would say "think of the children".......

lol......not very good, but it was funny......

yah I think takeing rejection over the phone would be easyer on me... but no one likes a door slamed in thier face

My bro works for the marketing company that sells World Vision.
He's making pretty good coin doing it - and Dalyn, you're right. He gets the most subscribers in Abbotsford!

But just going around and seeing no love.. kinda harsh..
I want to save these kids SO bad..

I'm interested in this cause man. PM me with details, like whether their is a minimum donation, how much of the money actually goes to the kid; other groups take a percentage to fund their operation, etc etc.

think about it this way, galaxie: she's making money helping people, you're making money helping people buy clothes. Not that there's anything wrong with your career, but hers is definately noble. You can't pay bills with good karma. =)

aww dont worry about it.. I used to do door-to-door for like 10 months. Its only tough in the begining.. you just gotta get used to it and IF you put in that 100%, in a matter of a few weeks, you'll be making awesome commision. Well thats the thing about sales, its either sink or swim so just keep up a good attitude and be confident about yourself

As far as I'm concerned, ALL of the money should go to the children.
If the sponsor cancels after 2 months the kid hasn't received a single penny! Not to mention that not only does each salesperson make $70 per child sponsored, but their uplines also make money off each one! "Hi, my name is pyramid..."

Maybe it is the fact that a lot of these people already give to a charity I know our house hold gives to a few but thiere is so many charities and everyone wants you to give them money it gets repetitive and annoying to hear the same speals over and over again sometimes and also, how much of that 30 odd bucks makes it to the kid I am wondering??

yes she does. my sister and i have sponsored her for years now... it's really comforting to recieve pictures and see how much healthier she's grown since we first sponsored her. both her parents are gone now... one day i hope to go visit her down there.

i have a sponsored kid from Foster Parents Plan. my mom has sponsored a kid with them for years and years, so i decided i would too. i like FPP because almost all the money goes to the actual kid and there is no religious afiliation.

he's from zimbabwe. i send 33 a month.

when i was a kid i was gonna get my mother to sponser somebody for me as a bday present... but we were to poor, and it woulda cost too much :( but, now that i know that the salesppl make 70 dollars a kid, i dont think i would do it anymore... shouldnt that be volunteer? shouldnt the money you give go to the kid? seems pretty sick to me... :S i understand no one wants to work for free, but why would i give my hard earned money to someone when i could seriously use it, and they wont give their time to the kid? i dunno, not to critize you, i understand its your job, i just think that it would be better the other way...
