comparing today's pot with cocaine and heroin? what a load of crap. sure it's more potent than pot from the 60s, but this guy's writing would have parents everywhere believe that smoking pot will turn your kid into a psychotic delusional psychward patient.

interesting.... considering its a herb.... used for medical practices now days for multiple reason's. Sure its a method of getting high??? but its no different then a herb that man has ever used. All you have to do is look at history...

Pot does no harm what so ever.... cigarette's are more deadly then pot. Think of it like this.... with cigarette's your smoking a product that of course contains tobacco however tar is mixed in and what not and its all being sucked in through a filter that is virtually fibres similiar to what is found in fibreglass material

Obviously this columnist knows absolutely nothing. To compare pot with cocaine and heroin tells me that he has never experienced it before... Guess they are one of those people who end up getting a degree and have theories but no proven facts...

it's just a really weak weak editorial. it's all:

'pot is bad and um it does bad things to your brain, i'm not going to really get into specifics, but um, yeah, just trust me.'

^to me it seems like being sure that "pot does no harm whatsoever" is just as ignorant as being convinced that it's like coke and heroin.

yeah, i would agree. i mean anything that you are smoking is probably not good for you, no matter what it is.

however, this guy (UN man) was taking it way overboard without providing any facts, but just really vague and general statements.

Panic doesnt solve shit, i hate the media sometimes.

If these goons are going to be writing negative articles about pot, I dont see why they dont just say the truth. I mean, there are plenty of documented negative side effects from marijuana use that these chumps could use for their scare tactic articles. Erowid.org can tell you that much.

Instead what they do, is they go the unnecessary extra mile by sensationalizing it to the point that the very group they are trying to protect (youth) - loses all faith, and reacts to this information the opposite of how it was intended.

It didnt work with "Reefer Madness" , it isnt going to work now.
