obviously you aren't promoting yourself properly. promoters should be coming to you. and you should know enough promoters at the beginning, that you will hear about a show being planned.

i already do know a lot of promoters.. given them tons of demos..

but how do you get to the stage where they contact you..
every time i talk to promoters about upcoming parties, it's always: oh the lineups full. well i havent thought of the next one yet.. i'll let you know.. i have djs calling me up the ying yang i'll get back to you.

it's not just promoters tho thatg you want to be talking to...it's their friends, it's the regulars it's the bar owners, bar tenders, it's the raver getting down in front of your set right by the decks....anyone that would be willing to drop your name if someone says they need a dj. Stand out in people's minds so that when they think jungle or drum and bass they want you

I dont know you well enough so dont slam me for saying this: but work on your attitude maybe. Obviously you're not getting regular bookings for a reason. Find out why that is. You've got the skills, I heard your last demo and I really enjoyed it and played it for a bunch of my friends and they all liked it too.

Make yourself really friendly and approachable to people. Take a step back and look at yourself how others might. Dont make yourself crazy and paranoid over it, just do a little self inventory.

I think that could be a big part of it. If you're not out and about very much, how can you expect to be at the forefront of people's minds? Plus it's a good way to make friends within the scene which is a good way to get bookings too.

Plus I don't get to see you enough so you should just come out anyways. :)
