the landfill thing is a super-duper flimsy justification. do you usually throw away your CDs? if so.... you can buy it digital for cheap & support the artists without compromising your obviously strict environmental ethics.

i actually think they're cooler than Metallica because they run their own INDEPENDANT label, ie- the kind of label that suffers the most from this kind of ignorance. so when dudes like this can't afford to make any more music because they had to get a real job after the distributors dropped their label... you can pat yourself on the back and count the pocket full of loonies you saved.

oh ouch... so you admit that you're wrong, but it's okay because no one else is innocent?

i don't steal from independant labels - never have, never will. shouldn't be that hard to believe, since i've been an independent music retailer since before there was Napster.

i don't really steal from majors either... not because i have a moral issue with it, more because a) i have little use for major label music and b) i only got Serato scratch last week so until now i've had no use for mp3's anyways. plus i'd rather shell out 10 bux for a CD than waste my time sifting through all the garbage-ass rips out there. or pay a buck or 2 for a legit download.

not sure what the vinyl comment has to do with anything... i suppose you're trying to bait me into some kind of pro-vinyl rant but i'm quite content in the fact that, even in these dark days, i still make a decent living off of selling & playing the stuff.

anyways, since you obviously are lacking any substantial retort to our reasoning... you may as well get back to killing independent music & counting your loonies.

Esoteric- What's your problem? 1st. Vinyl is alive and well. You remind me of Dj John when he told me the scene was dead back in 97. 2nd. Download all you like, but some of us don't like mp3, they sound like shit.
