So, if you look at the breaks talent that came through the city in the past week...

Stanton Warriors played a surprise show at Shine.

Aquasky is playing at Cyber tomorrow for Funktion Fridays.

Breakfastaz are playing w/ Sir Kutz at Cyber the night after.

The Young Punx are playing the saturday too at Fusion Dreams.

That's some heavy weight breaks talent all in one city on the same weekend. Why didn't we have some sort of super breaks festival where they all played at the same party? That would have been insane! (difficult to coordinate) but well worth it. Like a super collabo show~ :cry:

^^^ i found out about the show the morning of. so i don't blame you on not hearing about this.. I lazied out and didn't end up going but tickets were only fifteen bucks!

finding a good line up of breaks dj's who all play different styles wouldn't be boring. i enjoy watching dj/producers play their own stuff.

but for the rest who dont love them(as much as u and i) and have diff taste in music it sure wouldnt be top choice.

I agree, however there are too many DJs out there (in every genre) that all stick to the same types of "safe tracks" or "safe sounds", and that makes one DJ sound just like the next, and that IS boring. I want to hear more producers come up with more "risque" tracks, and more DJs who are willing to play those tracks.

If I understood more about music I'd do it myself...but it takes me FOREVER to make a simple bass beat sound how I want it to on Reason.
