and here I thought the biggest flaw with the poll is the fact that it's a trance-oriented magazine, soliciting votes from trance fans and then turning around and claiming their poll tells us who the best dj in the world is...

True enough. Although I must say I always had a hard time believe DJ Dan being the #1 house dj. Im not surprised by this at all, but more surprised it took them this long to actually look into IP addresses.

i never called myself an elitist.

and actually people care about who is playing out there and what people think of their music. it sucks that people associated with dj's have to cheat in order to get themselves on a list that people look up to when they decide what shows and dj's they would like to see in the following year.
