What's your favourite Pink Floyd song?

What's your favourite Pink Floyd song, and why? It tells you a lot about a person.

Mine is "Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and
Grooving With a Pict" off of the album Ummagumma. It brings back memories of my first mushroom experience, and it's possibly Pink Floyd at their most experimental! The whole album is gold.

Primus does an impecible cover of that song (and it IS on Wish You Were Here). One of Les Claypool's side projects is completely dedicated to Floyd renditions. Check em out! :D

Us and Them, Eclipse, Brain Damage. Pretty much all of Dark Side of the Moon. Dropping acid has caused some kind of freaky bond between that album and me.

Pink Floyd has done so much awesome work, i feel I would be doing them an incredible injustice by choosing only one. I still find it hard choosing 7 favourites ha ha... but here they are...

that's completely understandable. I feel the same way with Primus' album "Sailing the Seas of Cheese" because of ketamine. There's a strong bond between music and drugs. For a lot of us, they're yin and yang. And, at least for both of these groups, drugs undoubtedly took an active role in their songwriting.

Welcome to the Machine - really showed some light on the dark ambient/industrial possiblilites with analog gear

It took me a long time to come around to them, but I'm finally on board. I figure Time and Us and Them are some of my favorites.. Wish You Were Here.. if it doesn't get you at least somewhat, you may not be human.

My real contribution to this thread is to mention that a New York reggae/dub label called "Easy Star" got together a bunch of their artists (named them the "Easy Star all-stars) and put out a full reggae/dub/etc cover of the entire Dark Side of the Moon album. (Named "Dub side of the moon"... duh)

It's fan fucking tastic. Have a look for it if you haven't heard it.
