rarely do you get any "mainstream" artist that do ALL their works. At that stage, they are usually most occupied with other projects (ie. making $$ through massive shows, commercials, sponsorships, bla bla) Pretty much any DJ close to his position would have a few production/studio assistants who do all the work. It's like directors in the movies... they get their names written in bold, while there were around 300 people who worked to get his name up there.
There is more to the industry than just production. once you have marketting down on a headlock, you can sell your shit wrapped in newspaper.

Tracks you buy online should be straight from the studio and if not, a really good 320kbps rip with no pops and snaps... but some people are rookies and dont know how to rip em, they screw up the eq's and then loose allot of the sound by putting it to 192kbps... I either get the record and rip it to a 320kbps mp3... or I take a weak mp3 and tweak with the volume til is sounds just loud enough. In a sense REMASTERING it but not even.

back in the day i never had the ear for electronica... it didnt appeal to me, mainly cause it was still in its experimental stages...
soon enough productions got better over time... and the i started to notice some tracks, all cause they had catch synths..

In all fairness, that's not 100% valid....lots of my friends don't follow electronica AT ALL and they are all familiar with both...Besides as cheesy as tiesto can be at times, he still packs huge venues, sells ridiculous amounts of records. He's obviously doing something right, so at least give him credit for that.
