It was also played on Z95.3, and the airscape remix was way better than tiesto

BUT IT HAD TIESTO'S NAME ON IT! Fuck other B track.

Oh and it was trance, not house... house has a lower bpm. DO you know what a BPM is?

AND YOUR SAYING THATS NOT DOING ANYTHING FOR DANCE MUSIC>? YOU GUYS ARE ALL FUCKED
Not to get too defensive on this topic but....

Oakenfold changed dance music back in the early 90's
Tiesto didnt show up til the mid 90's, an he still wasnt THAT popular in Europe...
Delirium has had hits, and so what that it might've been the first track to be aired... but guaranteed before that dance music didnt sound like trance... it sounded like a beat with wierd ass samples.. Jean Michelle Jarre is a big name in electronica back in the days when it was getting popular... and yes if you remember that track with the annoying girl saying shes with the dj... thats a house track from what i remember... and that was before silence and sandstorm and all those tracks started to climb the worldwide charts..
as for the stadium gigs, Chicane does stadium partys, mainly becuase hes worked in the past with Bryan Adams... and Bryam Adams occasionally does some shows with Chicane (which is a 2 in one concert), Dj Luna in the Netherlands has been doing stadium partys to himself, Jean Michelle Jarre has had his songs on the radio, has had his STADIUM CONCERT aired on TV (CBC and a few other channels... live from RUSSIA EDIT: ON NEW YEARS MIGHT I ADD! and thats from what I remember). And many other un-aired concerts.

EDIT 2: Dont even get me started on Tangerine Dream and Electric Light Orchestra... and theyre from before the 90's, 70's event ;)

lets not forget taucher who in my mind is 20X better than tiesto cause he still has fun with the crowd.

Also yoji biomehanika spinning infront of 80,000 people at sensation black.

Biomehanika, i dont know if you caught his set at IMF. But he did crazy, unholy things to those cd decks... I dont think tiesto could ever pull off such an act.

(remember the air guitar yoji was pulling off???)

don't remember, but what about everything but the girl? seriously, saying tiesto pioneered ANYTHING other than shitty trance schlock (which, btw, oakenfold pioneered, really, tiesto was really just an oakie followup) is just being ignorant to the last 20 years of electronic music.

Yeah he stands there doing nothing, looking bored out of his mind. Periodically he'll reach out to kiss his model girlfriend, or do some kind of booze/drug.

b0ld is a jewel in the roughb0ld is a jewel in the roughb0ld is a jewel in the roughb0ld is a jewel in the rough
have you ever had a good good listen to any of tiesto's tunes.... the beat structure is basic..... piano samples is basic.... and so are any other samples that he uses... The shit he produces is EASY. When I look at tracks from corsten or van buuren there is so much effort made to ensure that they are unique.... These guys can play an instrument not just press a bunch of basic keylines in piano and repeat it over and over.....

A perfect example of Tiesto's "basic" track is "Lethal Industry" . Sounds good doesn't it???? only problem is that is doesn't take any skill produce a track like that.

As per him playing in a stadium solo.... so what... in the end its still a set of turntables and a mixer... whats so special about it... Playing other people's music.... hooray.... Again its all about marketing... a name like "Tiesto" grabs the attention to people to begin with. He'll grab tracks from "Serenade", "LSG", "Simplex", "Sophie Sugar", "Whiteroom" etc...... and throw them down..... and in the end NOBODY knows who or what the track is....

In all its a repetative 4/4 beat and timing.... basic stuff.... thats all... Anyone can master is with consistant practice....

true and false, i know tons of dj's who can beatmatch, but still can't actually MIX (meaning, they just aren't good at making two tracks sound sick together)

techno is my fav genre...
if you know how to hold two tracks beatmatched....then the mixing itsself is an art... marco v showed a great deal of cdj to vinyl mixing, with the third cdj being played and inserting a third drum pattern....
eddie halliwell... same shit, that guys playground is the decks infront of him... whos seen the eddie halliwell videos...?
people like that should get recognition!
NOT FUCKING TIESTO!~

ps. bootlegs of tiestos tracks blow away the originals anynight.

Sykonee will become famous soon enough
2 Unlimited is still more popular worldwide than Tiesto. Everyone recognizes Get Ready For This, Twilight Zone, No Limit, and Tribal Dance. Grab a common layman off the street and see if he'd be able to recognize four Tiesto tracks right off the top of his head.

Fatboy slim makes killer trance tracks yep, forgot about him.

I love how little pukes have their "theories" that people dont make their own tracks backed up by nothing but the little peanut in their skull.

Tiesto has always made all his tracks with 2 engeneers it even says so on all of his vinyls, he comes up with the ideas, and they put it down.

You people need to find someone new to hate, Tiesto aint # 1 anymore

I love how people say that there are plenty of DJ's in BC or whatever are better then Tiesto. You have bad taste and basically have no clue about music.

Whatever you tell yourself is cool , end of the day you are still a little angry puke behind a keyboard

ummm, you just proved the point you were arguing against. people who work with other engineers, while they may be 'making music', are NOT doing the work... and haven't spent the time required to even learn how.
(this goes for a LOT of big names, goldie being a big one)

haha, i dont think DJ's in BC are better than tiesto not because of skill, people sure have the potential, but the EXPERIENCE. That guy has been everywhere, and im saying again, I love his older music, all im saying is he needs to get back to his old style again.
