a lot of shit mangle has said has been to extremes, I understand that... but the idea of "self-preservation and fuck the rest" to me is just the other extreme... I won't deny that survival is #1, but at the same time there is a point when you're taking what you need and then taking to the point of greed and waste... and I think its important to be mindful of the situations so we can do whats in our power to sustain this planet so everyone can co-exist for as long as we can make it last... and I don't think there is anything wrong with that...

yea but it's not like they made the tune hoping to get paid by adidas, they just liked the shoes and it was part of their image. Adidas got a bunch of business from that song and offered to sponser them afterwards.

Taste isn't like some sacred, constitution protected right, you know. If someone has a taste for fucking 12 year olds in the ass, others might find offense with that. Which just strengthens Mangle's point about the Honda Civic Tour. So what if a YOU won't go out and buy a Honda Civic just because the BEP are marketing their tour towards it. . as history shows, other people will. Whether it's intentional, like BEP, or unintentional like DMC, people take them seriously and, sadly, mold their lives around what their icons project.

I don't see what the point is in complaing about the state of the music industry. It's not going down hill, it is just changing. Like everything else in the world, it changes.
Sure it's sorta fun to comlain about how twisted pop music is. But the truth is I don't think most people(who like good music) listen to any of that garbage for about more than 3 seconds before they change the channel/station.
