I have a weird way of dealing with things. When something bad happens to me, I talk about them till they doesn't hurt any more. I'm the guy who makes jokes at a funeral. Not that this was really soul crushing, so much as just frustrating. It's really turned me off interviews. Blanche did a great one with me, though. It was my first. Those guys are really genuine and they answered all of my questions. (Dan Miller you may remember as part of Cash's/Pheonix's band in Walk The Line)

Yup. I suppose if I'd really pushed it, she would've hung up, but it was never my intention to attack her. I had this fantasy that she was a real human being with opinions on things and I wanted to see what she could do riffing on random, relatable topics instead of just repeating the same answers to the same questions she'd been asked a million times (the first question and the Dubya sex questions were supposed to be little gimmes just to get and keep the ball rolling but she refused to engage me on any topic). I went into the Blanche interview knowing little about them but they just took my questions and rambled for a few minutes on each one so I figured I'd get the same from her (I'll be better prepared for horribleness next time). I've subsequently heard a lot about how Alison can be in interviews, though. Her attitudes are well known in the biz. She once did some reviews for DJ Magazine and gave every one a 1 or 2.
