I don't think any musician would want to hear that, Goldfrapp have been making great music for awhile now and for you to even make mention of those other artists is degrading.
Maybe that's why she was being cold

I didn't mention that to her. That's part of the intro to the interview. There are also several other questions I asked that she simply didn't answer that didn't make the final edit. It's not like every interview ever published is copied straight from tapes; they're all edited.

I'm aware of that but if I had heard an intro like that I would've been pissed off.

Strange though if she didn't hear it i'm surprised she would have responded that way.

I've heard I'm not the only one she's been like that with. Apparently she only likes it when you ask questions about her newest album.

looked like some of the more straight forward questions, she gave pretty decent answers.
but
she sure didnt respond to the joke questions very well.
ha ha. after the one about the Queen, it looked like the interview pretty was pretty much toast.

Yeah, the question about the queen was about the mark where I'd completely given up trying. She didn't even really answer the questions I thought she did, too. Like the question about festivals vs. venues: she basically just repeated my question back to me in the form of an answer. Definitely painful...and I had to listen to it over and over again to make sure I'd copied it off the tape correctly. I mean her no harm, though. At the very least, she did take the time out to speak to me and EMI gave me a copy of her new album, which isn't really as good as their first two but it's still a keeper. They make really catchy electro-pop; no denying that.

No, I came up with that afterwards. You must understand, I'd been promised this interview for weeks before hand. I was really excited about it. I told all my friends. I spent hours pouring over other people's interviews with her to make sure I didn't ask any of the same questions they did and to get my facts straight. Then I finally get to talk to her at 8am our time and she was a total cold cunt. It was so unbelievably frustrating. I wanted to make her look cool like nothing else. I'd written a much happier, pandering intro too. Things changed when we talked. How weird would the interview be with a "She's the go-to chanteuse of the new millenium" intro (Actually, the first two sentances of the intro were written before hand)?

In regards to the sikh guy, I wonder if she was talking about the guy that hosts "Play".. but I think that's on in the afternoon.

Oh and my new favorite answer was when you asked what product she would never promote and she said "I don't know.. poison."
