RIP Syd. To be honest, I preferred their stuff post-Barrett, but you've gotta give it to him for starting it all.

definately not cool. . I remember catching the end of a news segment on him yesterday, but I missed the part about his death. It's a shame, I loved Piper At the Gates of Dawn. He was a forerunner in psychadelic rock. Waters and Gilmore may have taken the band to new heights but Barrett's writing deserves nothing but respect.

I listened to their BBC sessions earlier, and then put on Wish You Were Here, followed by Pulse which, since nobody seems to have noticed my thread, was released on dvd today.

^oh sick, i didnt even know about that Pulse dvd. I just checked out the description, Im fuckin buying this.
I have Pink Floyd Live in Pompeii on dvd too, thats a good one. Bunch of stuff from Meddle and i think some stuff from piper at the gates of dawn.
