Peter - If you really do have the urge to hit me, then do so. You had the chance last nite but you didn't. It just goes to show how little of an arguement you do have when I state my points, and rather argue them, you resort to threatening me with physical violence. Friends with AGROdave and thats the only reason you won't punch me? Punch me for who I am, not for who I am friends with.. *sHRUGz* This goes along the same lines as what I said before. It seems the way you treat people and how you expect to be treated revoles around what they do and who they are friends with rather than for who they are. I'm no more special than anyone else and therefore don't treat me any differently because of who I'm friends with or what I do.
Like I said, how old are you? Arguing with you doesnt seem much more than a young childs tantrum. You have no point whatsoever or at least haven't stated one. It seems to me you are out to get some sort of attention (tieing yourself up to poles so people will look at you, and throwing little tantrums outside of parties) or feel the need to constantly feed of the approval of others (maybe thats why you were walking around afterwards trying to tell everyone about the situation and get them to agree that I'm such an asshole). How am I acting like a bitch? If you are having a bad day, then do so somewhere else as you are not welcome to throw fits at my parties. However if you ever feel like partying and having a good time, by all means, come on by. Cover Charge applies regardless if you are a dj or a promoter or other situations unless it is requested previous to the party. Someone erased the post Winnie adressed to me on this thread.. hMmmm interesting.. To everyone else, unfortunately you just had to witness this ugly post. Hopefully people will think before they turn on their computers and start typing next time. And peter, you've apologized, if you really are sorry, drop this whole thread and if you have anything else to say, say it to me in person and we'll work it out like adults, not children. First off, I wanna say a big 'FUCK YOU' to Serotonin.
Hugh isn't in this for the money, I know him really well, and he's an awesome guy. You think that promoters who throw Spanish nights MAKE money? Think again smart guy, they're constantly losing bucks but they KEEP DOING IT because it's for the people. AGRO and Adrenelyn work with each other to throw nights, and I know for a fact that Dave isn't in it for the money either. Dave's a great guy, and if Hugh weren't, they obviously wouldn't be working together. UGH you know what? I'm NOT going to bother anymore. Hugh I love you! *mwah* oh and Serotonin...what makes you think YOU should get in for less than everyone else? Do you pay $5 at the movies when everyone else pays $12.50 just because you said 'hi' to the guy who owns the theatre? No, I thought not. I hate it when people like you expect to get into parties for less than other people even though you did NOTHING to help out: flyer, set up, clean up, spin, mc, work concession, etc etc. If you wanna get in for free, HELP OUT!! i had fun at this party..the music was pretty good..and yeah..i luved the balloons up in the main room...i dunno..never noticed them and then they all of a sudden appeared when i looked up...but yeah~..one more thing..me and glenda (tinkerbell) wore ean skirts to it and i will never wear a skirt to a party again...talk about dance restrictions...and yeah.it was hot..thats why i stood near the fan...oh how i loved that fan..lalala...i had a good time..wish everyone else did too...~

... message : Lately, I've noticed, a great deal of conflict resulting of the promoter guest list at parties and clubs. Nomally, the guestlist function was to act as an industry courtasy to other promoters and those involved in making the event a reality. Additions are were added for a limited number of performers guests (ie. girlfriends, drivers, etc.). Everyone was happy to pay and support promoters when they were at an event strictly to enjoy it. Those who helped create the event were compinsated with a ticket and somtimes stage access to meet the performers and hang out with other members of production. I find it really sad how things have changed. Nowadays, we see events selling VIP tickets, often confused with the production access. I think promoters saw the oppertunity to add a value to the term VIP and took advantage of it. With the unstable condition of the scene (mostly 6months ago) under feirce competition promoters gave away mass amounts (literally hundreds) of these tickets to generate hype. The lines began to blur... Guestlists have recently come to include a promoter's friends, and their friend's friends and now, oppertunists, are actually selling access to events under promoter's noses. I makes me sick and I've caught people doing this at several of my shows. People I don't know coming to our door saying, "I'm on the guestlist, this is bullshit, I paid $20 for it!" The illusion of a social heirarchy has been fostered and people have come to EXPECT complete and free access to any and all events. People have to come to expect that they can demand a guestlist at my events of people I haven't even met! To throw salt on the wound they were SELLING this!!!! Last night at Pound I met somone who beleived he was on our guestlist.. he was surprised (and angry?!) to find out he wasn't. I guess this is why I'm posting this. People have probably heard that we are being totally strict with the guestlist at this show and, unbeleivably to me, some are actually pissed off at us! I think our show is a damn good value for your dollar and if your not helping out in any way it just makes no sense to me why I should let people in for free. It really doesn't. If you beleive in our event, support our shows and our often vocal decisions on direction in the scene then why wouldn't you pay? Its a real eye opener and statement of character and a personal motives when people refuse us support. I won't name anyone because I'm better than that.. but I hope they read this and understand where I stand.

if i was losing money on a show
i would take what i could get not be tightassed cuz of principle i throw parties to break even it's how i always project my figures but that's cuz i don't throw parties for a living therefore i am not in the same class as your regular promoter.I am a partyer and i throw parties to make peeps happy which in turn makes me happyand gives me a chance to spin as well.Natalie if he took my 30$ bucks we would of all been happy.Unless i could see it being near capacity and he wanted to make every single extra dollar that he could instead of hooking someone up with a discount but otherwise if he had let us in would we have made that big of a difference .I think not cuz there was plenty of room.
That is why i was offended and that is why afterwards i approached Hugh (when i was drunk but i would of told him sober too that i thought he was cheap basically for not hooking me up) i have a right to an opinion ,my opinion offended hugh cuz it's true,now he 's trying to save face by making me seem childish and irrational.I'll admit i was a lil emotional but he fueled the fire afterwards when i told him i could care less if i ever see him again.

well I've known hugh for a while. The first time I ever met him, I thought he was one of the nicest promoters out there. If you just look at him, look at his smile you could tell that he's a nice guy. I dont think seratonin knows how many people go to the spanish asking if they can get in for a discount. does anybody really know? well I know pretty well. I talk to the door guys a lot. Throughout the night, when I am there, I see different people trying to get in for a discount. ALL THE TIME. Atleast 3 or 4 that I see. You think they make lots of money? heh, I've been to the spanish when they had to close it down at 10pm cause only 8 people showed up. and this isn't just one occasion, this has happened many times before. The nights they do make money, they do make money though, from what I see anyways. I wasn't there for this chubby luv, but I was put on guest list. why? CAUSE I SUPPORT ADRENYLIN PRODUCTIONS(hehe, inside joke) anyways, I didn't have any money so hugh said if I could get 10 people to go in mardi gras, he'd get me in, and I did convice a few people to go mardi gras. unfortunately I could get a ride out there. So the next time I saw hugh, he gave me free ticket for another spanish show. Don't think you're special seratonin, what you tried to pull, that happens everynight. what makes you think chubby luv would have been different? Also I think that part about "kicking his head" is STUPID. seratonin:016:hugh(hehe, just wanted to put that in there for fun) why? well... cause he wouldn't let you into a party for a discount, that's...
