Will Ashes be allowed in Canada?

In a more recent post , she stated that she would be attending "Dooms Night" : http://www.fnk.ca/board/showthread.p...ight=halloween

I was under the impression that a drug related offence made crossing the Canadian/American border next to impossible. I understand that it was a misdemeanor,and that she has not been convicted yet, but will this incident show up as a pending charge? When she tries to cross the border to attend the rave will she be turned away?

Maybe i'm not giving her enough credit , and she is intelligent enough to ask these questions herself. In which case she has already considered these things.

Thanks, your input has been both constructive and informative.....or not. I was hoping somebody with some legal knowledge would be able to answer my question. This isn't a shot at ashes , its a legitimate question , using her situation as an example.

she'll be fine. i was arrested at the border for "smuggling" weed we didn't even know we had in the car. i've had no problems crossing back and forth.

yes, and you canucks think ur border security is alot safer than it is, on the way into canada b4, they have taken our ID's then asked us "where u going" "what r u doing" then just handed them back with out even LOOKING at them...

also, i know lots of people who have gone up there with felonies... im not going to have any problems...

Well there was one time where I got ripped out of my car, cuffed, interrogated, and finally let go. It was insane.

It was all because I was stopping at one place in Ferndale to pick up product to deliver to another customer in Seattle. Basically it's illegal for a Canadian citizen to do 'point to point' sales in the U.S. I tried to explain to the guard that I didn't know that and that I was just following bosses orders.... eventually they figured that out and let me go with a 'Sorry to hold you up, we'll be contacting your employer to sort this out'. GREAT!!! Now go tell all the people who saw me get man handled like some sort of terrorist.... tres embarassing.

whoa dude, i bet that was embarassing... the only problems we usually have have nothing to do with criminal charges... usually more to do with raving.. the border people HATE that.. we always jus say were going to visit r friends, cuz if they see ur records, or u say ur going .. they'll search ur whole car jus cuz they think u might have rugs.. its like WTF seriously.. if i was TELLING them that i was going to a rave.. u really think i'd have shit on me? no way.. morons... lol.. but yeah we got through fine one time but our friends lef their records visible and got hassled for 2 hours, their whole car torn up lookin fer pills, or something i dont know.. it was mad weak.

For real man.... smuggling rugs is serious business. Once I tried to take this 10x15ft Persian rug down and ended up getting anally raped by the head border guard. SAY NO TO RUGS!!!
