you put your name on records so that this EXACT situation can be helped. everytime a dj has records stolen from him, he learn to mark everything he owns, so he can recognize them at used vinyl stores. it has NOTHING to do with who made them.

So back in August Sturdy comes in to town, with nothing but his records and few clothes. He has no where to stay, so as a GOOD friend Josh helps him out and allows him to live with him. This also did help Josh out because Sturdy would be paying rent. Each time bills where due Sturdy wouldn't have the money (or not enough) so Josh (or myself) would front the money until Sturdy had it. This irresponisibility was very persistent in Sturdy's life, but Josh still wanted to help him out. All Josh was trying to do was to be a good friend to Sturdy, and this is how he re-pays him?

Josh did not steal Sturdy's records (or his clothes-the few he had), he simply wants the money that is owed to him. All this with Sturdy happened a couple of months ago, don't you think Josh could have sold his records by now? Josh doesn't want to have to sell Sturdy's records. That's why he hasn't. Sturdy keeps sending Josh e-mails saying he will pay him the money (but has yet to).

As for eviction:if you don't pay your rent in full you can be evicted pretty quickly. Remember all this took place a few months ago.

Sturdy: You know Josh didn't steal your records, deal with it maturely. This thread isn't going to get you anywhere-if all you want is your records back. Pay Josh the same respect he gave you when you had no home and he welcomed you into his. That responisibility you told me you where going to prove to me that you had I am definately not seeing, its too bad :( I think it would be a lot easier if you had a number that Josh could get a hold of you at, instead of getting an e-mail here and there from you. Then maybe the situation could be dealt with and settled.




As for this Thantos character-I believe you had one conversation with Josh, in which you were very disrespectful, at which point you where cut from the line-up. If that warrants a reason to hate someone than you may have some self issues you need to deal with.

I'm not too sure how you could come across the same "conclusion" within 2 days when the only reason you have to dislike him is because he didn't book you because you were trying to be too greedy. Following his decision to not book you, you started to msn/e-mail him non-stop day and night. This included demanding a "real" reason of why he hadn't booked you (you didn't believe his reason), unprovoked threats and bashing of other dj's???

Josh, you are a shady loser. The fact that a few people in this thread already pointed that out is not just a coincidence buddy. You tried to fuck me around and that's what got me on your case.

When you tried fucking me around last june and being shady and lying to people about what was really going on, then avoiding me I took a screenshot of the msn conversation. Now I'm glad that I still have it kicking around so I can show people more about the kind of loser you are. Did I message you day and night for a couple days? I sure the hell did. I messaged you for as long as it took until you finally HAD to deal with me. You are a disgrace to the electronic scene. I have been DJing 9 years and take what I do very seriously, and I despise people who fuck others around. The treatment you got out of me had nothing to do with me shedding a tear over not playing your party. If it was that important to me to play your show you loser I would have agreed to play for you right away.. but the truth is I would have rathered to take another booking out of town that I was approached about before that. Why? Because I had never heard of you for one.. and secondly because I prefer out of town bookings because of how the state of the rave scene has been here the last few years.

I was reluctant to take your booking.. but you wanted me to headline the trance stage for your show so bad that you said straight up and without me asking "I'll pay you $500 for sure, or $600 if I make enough to be able to, IF you confirm with me right now." So I said okay sure. Done deal. I also wasted a bunch of MY time going over different stuff with you to help you plan out some of the details for your show.. including asking around to a few DJs I'm friends with to see if I they'd play your show and do it for an affordable price as a favor to me. You offered me that money in order to buy yourself a quick decision, rather than have me get back to you after I think about it and after I checked back with someone who had already asked me about playing for them on that date. So I emailed the promoter that night to let her know I had to take another booking.

YOU made the offer. YOU put me in that position. YOU wasted a lot of my time.. and YOU caused me to turn down another promoter. So yes, you rubbed me the wrong way when you all of a sudden get shady and go back on things a few days AFTER BOOKING ME and then try to avoid me, simply because someone convinced you to go back on your word and book him instead for whatever price it took to convince you. The fact that I had to hassle you until you finally would face up to me, and the fact that a friend of mine cancelled on you because of what you pulled.. is pretty unfortunate. Unfortunately, that's what can happen when dealing with a shady loser like yourself. You are a textbook example of why I don't take local rave bookings the last few years and only play club events here for reputable people.

The fact is, I don't know everything to do with you having Sturdy's records.. and I don't know what exactly you did to piss off the guy in this thread who first called you a shady loser. But because of the lasting impression you gave me about the kind of person you are, I would trust their words much more than yours. You've pissed me off more than you ever should have. If anything bad happens with Sturdy's records you might find yourself dealing with me face to face sometime very very soon and I will see how much you have to say when you meet me in person. Learn some respect.

Oh I'm pretty sure you read it Josh. You didn't have much to say about it either I noticed. Yes, having to take a screenshot of an msn conversation as proof isn't exactly typical.. in fact it's the only time I've ever had to do it. Of course, in 9 years of DJing I've never had someone try to pull what you did. It was something I did as insurance because I realized I was dealing with a shady first rate idiot. What blew me away was that I still had it kicking around on my computer, because I swore I deleted it long ago. Then again, I bet you were a bit more surprised than I was.
