Another thing to consider is how spoiled we are in VanCity , to see Dj's the likes of Paavo , Above&Beyond, and even Armin Van Buuren you're going to be paying close to 70-80$ US in country's like Japan , Europe , etc.
why are you quoting prices in Japan and Europe? have you been here and been to a club night here before? i saw Fatboy Silms for 35 US, Richie Hawtins for 30 US. i have ticket for timo mass and Digweed for next month for 30 US. So do not go around quoting some stupid amount of money to justify the cost of this show. i mean 30 cdn is a reasonable price for a night out, but it makes your post look retarded when you quote far away places as a justifaction, wspecialy when it is wrong.

Bottom line is Union is not making much money whatsoever, so dont think they are overpricing events just to make the quick buck. They are bringing in high quality dj's from all around the world EVERY Saturday, that can get quite expensive.
Yes, we all know you cant afford to go to every show, since it isnt the cheapest, but for $20-25 for a night out at a nice club, with good vibes, wicked setup and to see some world class dj's is much better then sitting inside Silvercity watching some shitty movie for 2 hours and paying $20. This is a whole lot of entertainment for a single night out. So enjoy!
