Finally we get a quality small production party going on here. Agro never seems to fail on putting together the best small party line ups. This party will be rocking from the first dj to the last. When is the first and last time you have seen that? Other Promoters take note.

What is Ghetto Tech?
In the mid 90's a group of Detroit dj's and producers, including DJ Assault, DJ Godfather and Aux 88, took the street sounds popular with Detroit's urban party scene, electro bass, Miami bass and Chicago ghetto house, and began mixing them together creating an altogether new urban dance sound. As the new sound grew, dj's started mixing in other street bass sounds, dirty south, drum & bass, hip-hop and of course techno, requiring them to modify their Technique 1200's giving them a greater range on the pitch slider and incorporating turntablelist tricks in to their sets. Various terms have been used to describe the sound, from Detroit bass and booty bass to booty, tek and accelerated funk. Until a Detroit teenager with unbelievable turntablelist skills was asked by a journalist to describe the sound. The phrase ghetto tech, coined by Disco D, has since become the catch all to describe Detroit's latest addition to the cannon of electronic dance music and it's unique mixing style.
