Does this mean there wont be pumpkin carving at Avana's?
I do give props to Twisted and Swingkids for continousely TRYING and making the best of it! Before you guys go hay wire on them... think about the re-strictions the city keeps puting on the parties there trying to throw. Over the years ive seen ticket sales and the % rate of busted parties sky rocket. This isnt nessesarly the promoters fault as the City keeps making leases more expencive and having less tolerence of rave culture. Please quit your complaints too twisted/swingkids and wine to Vancouver(the no fun city) Young ravers put on another day glow event... its been awhile. Im still stoaked for this, and in some ways this has some ups as there will be liqure sold and its on daylight savings letting us party a little longer ;) Last edited by Ree Fresh; Oct 27, 04 at 11:33 AM.

Kinda disappointed that it's not going as I hoped. But as you know Kraig, no Plan ever survives first contact and stays the same. Best of luck with future Parties... :rave:

Well this has its Positives and it's Negatives
Negatives::: Its not Spooky in it's true glory, no Ian Carrey basically my reason for going. Pros::: It is now serving booze so I dont have to strap a water pack to me thieghs and rip it off with much pain ensuing when I get in, it is now a 19+ event which means no 14 -15 year olds big plus it will drop the teenie bopper amount to well none existent basicaly, Also DJ Sneak is there now doing a 3 hour set.. Unfortunatly I will not be attending Spooky I have been on the fence for weeks of wether to rave or not to rave. The not to rave side has alas won. I shall be at a house party with some live bands getting totally trashed in true fasion. Good luck to Kraig, Twisted, Avana, and SwingKids hope it goes off for ya guys and you have a great night.. So sorry to see this happen

Honestly I wasn't even thinking of going to Spooky this year because of all the kids at the massives now adays, BUT now I am really thinking about attending this event.
Kraig way to make the best out of a bad situation. It just goes to show us that we still live in No Funcouver. peace.

Hey Twisted, Im really sorry to hear that things are goin sooo bad for you guys and for Spooky right now... Im sure that it will pull through some how and make alot of ppl satisfied at the end. Well at least you guys are taking the hit and giving out refunds to pissed off ppl/under 19 ppl. Ppl shouldn't be blaming you guys for the city's decision on THEIR rules and THEIR regulations. I will be goin to Doomsnight this year but I hope Twisted does well regardless of all the bullshit you guys had to face during the past few weeks. Peace

Well, I'm backing out of this one. I'll probably end up at Doom's; I'm not half as big a fan of club culture as I am rave culture, and I dislike alcohol-fueled events. I apologize for not being able to support you guys through this change.
Who do I bitch at about the asinine decision to cancel on you guys? My MLA? I'd like to know the individual who was responsible for making this call and showing my displeasure. That said, I understand what a big upset this must be to the promoters. Having been a part of one small party that happened and one that fell through, I can sympathize somewhat. The planning for something this big must be orders of magnitude greater. Here's to what Spooky 9 could have been, and if I'm still partying then, I'll be back for next year. :)

This is a shit ass situation.. but the twisted team has pulled out of another rut.. and will still not dissapoint.... with a production company that has put on hundreds of shows with no problems at all ... one problem here and there is acceptable....... Props to twisted on keeping spooky alive... (for years to come!!)..
the only one thing im really dissapointed about is the loss of Ian Carey.. so many people were looking forward to seeing this guy play..... Suggestion for the party.. make sure you got some wicked house dj's and some sweet breaks.....And if skool of thought is still in town... then why cant he play?????? I am still looking forward to this party... and look at it this way.... youll be in home in your nice warm bed by 6 am.... or hit up an after party.... ... its all good..... THE SPOOKY SPIRIT LIVES ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
