well thnx for adding me in there...
I really do appreciate it...
that sounds like a great line-up and would be a fun show to play at.. awsome Headliners and great locals..
hmm..

oh and about the 15 yr ol promoters... i started throwing parties when i was 16 no lie... in the koots.. and we had no problems gettin shit done... we always had 300-400 peeps and everything went smooth.. (we meaning me and my buddy who was the same age as me) so there is nothing wrong with being a young promoter.. we had respect from the older promoters.. and had lots of great feed back.. actually we had a lot of the older guys wanting to do work with us because we always had everything go smoothly!

ok here's a dope line-up

I'm taking into fact that i'm having all styles in al rooms...

rm1:
Anne Savage
Johnny Cage vs. DOC ROC
AK1200
Manos One
Precise vs. chi chi
Oddmud
tazix

rm2:
PVD
d-zam
dabbler
matty
Dig Dug
Cinto vs. lil mz booty
Dave Armstrong vs. Deliverance vs. Christian Alvarez

Also both rooms would be the same size.. none of this MAIN , brkz, house...
i say variety

just two rooms that's all one not better than the other!

This seems to be a good lineup but, I think DIGDUG has been here too often to see again. HE is definately dope but he did play almost the exact same set with the same tracks both times he was here.

I would substitute him with BigLeaugeChu for sure.
Plus i think both girls should be battlin. Looks like this-

rm1:
Anne Savage
Johnny Cage vs. DOC ROC
AK1200
Manos One
Lil Mz booty vs. chi chi
Oddmud
tazix

rm2:
PVD
d-zam
dabbler
matty
BigLeagueChu
Cinto vs. Precise
Dave Armstrong vs. Deliverance vs. Christian Alvarez

we all have VERY diffrent definitions of what "progressive" is, when i think of progressive trance i think of Shasha and Digweed, thats what "progressive" is looked upon as in the UK and the rest of Europe. John'00' is going more and more progressive as he moves aways from his "Best trance anthems ever" days. I would say Matt Hardwick and the other mentioned are just deeper uplifting trance.....no cheese in sight

DJ's to consider... Or just a bunch of names hehe;)
Uberzone and his lineup of dj's, PAUL VAN DYK, Anne Savage, Lisa Lashes, Rachel Auburn (probably easier to get than Anne Savage or Lisa Lashes), Roger Sanchez or Junior Sanchez, Angel Alanis, Max Graham, ATB, BT, Carl Cox, Chris Anderson, Crystal Method??, Tietso, System F!!, Tall Paul, DJ Food (breaks, mostly... check out www.xen.com), Ian Pooley for house!!, Jon Bishop, Kimball Collins, INGO!, Mauro Picotto, Mario Piu, Richard Humpty Vission, Pete Tong, Chemical Brothers??, Propellorheads! hehe, Mark et Claude, Thrillseekers, Freestylers, Bedrock, Watergate?, Tribe Called Quest!! (hee hee), Danny Tenaglia, Sakin, Dylan Drazen, Ewok, Moloko, Scott Stubbs, Timo Maas....

Yeah that's about it for me.

Wow...

This thread is getting a ton of attention -- GOOD TO SEE! Eventually via our Twisted.ca website, you will be able to cast a vote for the headliner(s) you want to see in upcoming shows we produce so this thread is some great education for me in identifying what you, our customer, want to hear.

The dictionary meaning of "Promoter" is as follows: One that promotes, especially an active supporter or advocate. Based on that Oddmud, I would say your definition is somewhat stale and should change with the times, but that's my opinion. Azim, myself and the entire team at Twisted are ALWAYS promoting something either it be a party, the clothing line or whatever - hell I plug events for other production companies ALL the time. It's all about growing the local scene and not competition.

Azim is the President of Twisted Productions and Twisted Teknowledgies... As Twisted has since grown considerably over the past 4 years, as has its productions and therefore now has a team of people working for it who all are in some way responsible for promotions and the success of these productions.

I am the Marketing and Promotions Manager for Twisted. I work directly with Azim to ensure and over see all aspects of exactly that while also ensuring our Productions go off as expected and as they have been marketed.

Have a look at our website for further detail - www.twisted.ca

At ANY time, I welcome feedback from anyone as to what they would like to see at future events or what they would like to see from Twisted in general. It is our goal to continue to grow the now global electronic music scene on the West Coast and of course need everyone's input to do so.

Oh and in reference to age of promoters today - I agree that a certain level of maturity and even business knowledge/understanding and in my case, formal education must exist if you are to be a part of any management team for any company. Although Twisted is a Production company that throws parties, it is still a company and must be managed as such.

Peace.

Responses...

Hey dj4mula... I was introduced to Azim awhile ago... always cleared tickets for the guy with ease and then he realized my business background/knowledge. On top of being the same age, him and I think a lot alike when it comes to business, our knowledge etc... He asked me to help out where I could so here I am! I love it it. It's not a full time thing for me - I work full time so Twisted is done on my own time.

Oddmud - It's all good dude. BTW, Dexter says 'sup!

Peace.

Ok First off lets make the local room local but as in (national)
And have MartymcFly Battle it up with Incog and Big League Chu
and whoever else Y'all want.

Then We Will have A North America Stage Or we can call it Florida stage since thats all what people are open to hearing these Days(j/j).
I'd put Donald Glaude up there w/ Aarron Carter and a couple others from moonshine Aude maybe and get a moonshine deal up there hee.hee

Then A Europe STage
All the names mentioned from the Uk And more.

Then a Hardcore stage for the minority in the vancouver party scene.

Oh and a Fuel stage featuring tipper and cold fusion mafia

And a hip hop stage featuring Quanum Mcs and Dj shadow.

Of course its off the top of my dome and prolly will never happen but it wuz fun.
Im guessing The party will end up having The uh oh vs twsited krew with a headliner from florida

wow! hmm...this thread is pretty interesting...well, i've been reading all your posts and checking out what kind of djs you peeps wanna see... I'll keep in mind since Azim and I are having our meeting soon to setup the date for our show hmm... its gonna be difficult to decide who to bring into town. :375: hmm... *sigh* decision making is always a pain on the butt....

Anyhow, thanks 4 the support and interest people :D: Keep giving suggestions of djs because Azim and I are going to be sitting down for the meeting this week. Hopefully, by the end of the week i'll be able to fill you more about the show and the date :500: and possibily some djs that we'll be considering :D:
