Bashing is alright if you have good reason to do it. Example being the person posted a stupid post. Or they run into your thread and just start chatting away, or they cut into one of your shoutouts to someone.

Also the maturity on these boards have dropped significantly lately, and also the mass amount of people signing up to these boards has added to it all.

It went from a small community to a huge group of new people. With this your bound to get some arguements and as miska has said its not like these peeps are our good friends. Well some of them are to me.

Just post mature or reasonably intelligent posts or threads and i don't see how you would get bashed, and if you do so what bash back or ignore it and move on

Well, one thing I think that effects the posts people submit, are the previous posts... i mean seriously, if you make a thread about hating something, or if its just about not really anything, people are just going to end up talking about the most interesting topic that gets posted...even if that topic happens to suck. It seems like there are alot of fresh people on here but also alot of pricks... and people who just talk shit for the sake of talking shit.. just to get somethin started.. and thats not real chill....

When first got on here, my initial impression was that this board is alot more harsh than the one for my town... and its kinda true... but i think alot of this people just have nothing better to do than make fun of kidz that they dont even know. Oh well... what can u do but be different yourself?

If someone's post is made fun of or they get bashed for it, it's not the end of the world. I often find it funny, especially when they have it coming. The only time it's harsh is when people just pick on others when it has nothing to do with their post whatsoever.

eh. You get this sort of stuff in any community to a degree. Older members feel a sense of entitlement, that the board belongs only to them, and the newer members are stealing that from them, as well as all the attention and making the community weaker. It doesn't help that some newer members DO do this, and in turn try to "prove themselves" by mouthing off anyone they can.

And then as far as being an ass to people, there's people who are an ass for fun, and people who are just asses.

Nothing wrong with an (un)friendly jab. But then when it comes to more personal stuff, say a pet dies, and someone is STILL an ass, that's sort of going a bit over the line. And there's people who try to make an artform of both.
