people who are dicks to n00bs
question: is it like an innitiation thing?
i'm guilty of it aswell. i was just going to post on some n00bs thread and was going to be a comple and total a-hole, but i backed out form even replying. cause i thought to myself why do i even care about flaming some kid that doesnt even know who i am? maybe we torture the n00bs just cause they're not accostumed to the ways of FnK yet, and feel the need to break these kids in to see how long they will stick around. also there are n00bs on this site i see get flamed all the time like veebaby69, fadedsignal, ~blushes, and so on. but i can see why these ppl get flamed. they write stupid posts! i mean i've been dissed by peeps on this forum from time to time by a lot of the older heads, but my ability to brush things off is very strong, plus it's only a web forum filled w/ mostly kids. and again it's j u s t t h e w e b ! ! ! i'm just saying that there's a lot of people out there that can contribute to this site with meaningfull banter, because there are a L O T of peeps on this forum that barely post. I can see why tho. discuss. p.s. none of your dumbass .02 cent remarks will be appretiated in this thread. i really want to start a discussion here.

At one time or another everyone was / is a noob on this site :
Other users just need to remember how it was when they first joined. And all the hate comments which were most likely directed towards them. Its really not that hard to stop treating new FNK'ers like shit. Just dont do it! Say welcome to FNK and end it at that. As opposed to criticising what they have to say ...

Hmm finally a discussion . . .
Well as far as people not posting as much as they should goes . . . its simple. Like you said there are ALOT of crap . . . and i dont even feel like reading it, so i dont reply. And most of the time a thread about something turns into a few friends asking each other what they are doin tonight. And like many of you have seen it turns into a whorepost. I have to kinda dissagree with the comment DC made. Not everyone was noobs at one point. Most of the people who joined this site did through the word of mouth so a lot of people did know someone one way or another . . . even through other circles of friends. I dunno why people use bad grammar . . . i cant spell worth shit. Thats cuz im a frenchy and i put an e at the end of everything. But saying things like "yo homz wuz krakin, b so DOPE 2 HIT up dis PARTY fer SHO 2nite: is somewhat stupid. Then agains c squared is right . . . LOTS OF KIDS on the site. At the same time you cant really blame anyone for puttin up stupid posts!! Becase these noobs, come in here thinkin that this is forum and its a free for all. EVERYONE entitled to an opinion. So when they come here what that mindset, they will just put up ANY crap that floats in their lil brains . . . anyways conclusion: Is it wrong to make fun of em? Not really, as long as they gave you a reason to do so. But dont OVER do it! Itso nly funny for the first 3 times. Unless they gave you ANOTHER reason.

Havn't had too much trouble with anything like that... the only member that has maybe shown alittle hostility has been EuroDollar. If you don't let people get to you over the web, it shouldn't be a big deal at all.
This is an awesome place, and I would hate to see new members be pushed away because they think they are not welcome. However, as was mentioned before... it's all in the way you present yourself as a newcomer... No stupidity.

2. naivity vs cynisism 3. people seem to get off/validate themselves over the internet by putting down others safely and anonymously. 4. fnk attracts (among others) angsty teens jumping into a drug culture where emotional/physical/mental retardation is encouraged/accelerated. I joined FNK back in a day when the community was small and, well, a community. People were nice to eachother, because they knew eachother.
Now its just soooo big and there are so many people, that its easy to have words with someone and not think twice about it, because the chances of you actually meeting them and being friends with them is slim to none. Don't get me wrong though, there have always been flame wars and there have always been stupid n00bs. There always will be. ps. I still think faded_signal and ~blushes are trolls
