Numark Equipment
Hi all,
I'm intrested in getting some gear, i thinking of getting 2x Numar TT-500's, i guess this seems to be the best deal for the beginner DJ, and i want it just for home use, learn some beatmatching and just have fun at home with it, nothin serious! All comments welcome :) |

Don't let yourself be done in by all the totally rad features on Numark gear. The actual reliability of their products is a real gamble.
Used Tech 12s have been getting super cheap. If your just beginning, I'd grab a pair of those, that way if you lose interest, you can resell em and lose maybe $50. If you want bells and whistles, the Stanton S(TR8) 150 beats the crap out of just about every other turntable on the market. (Including Tech 12s) |

I'm really strong for numark, but if your just beatmatching, don't bother.. they're noted for the high torque for scratching mostly
oh forgot to say, the reason I say don't, is because apparently the flutter is pretty high, and it's difficult for matching Last edited by scue; Oct 19, 05 at 05:16 PM. |

Alright, so what do you rekon would best suite a newbie wanting to learn the art of match the beat...technics are expensive...even used ones, there's people selling them on this forum for $900-$1000, for that i can and am able to get two new techs 1200 (regular ones)!

Seriously, if you just want to learn to beatmatch, techs are by far your best option. Save a bit more money up, you'll thank yourself later. |
