im thinking of buying the c304's as well. its between that and the numark axis 9's. i just went and looked at the axis 9's today, and i dont really have alot of bad stuff to say about them really. effects sounded real nice, touch wheel was pretty nice. bpm analyzer was super accurate (apparently the most accurate on the market??), but if you are just learning like myself, then you shouldnt even be looking at the bpms in the first place. ive heard the stanton bpm counter can be at times innacurate, but generally always on point. one of the bad things i can say is that i didnt dig the way the axis 9 was layed out. i found it uncomfortable.
i think im still opting for the c304 right now. more features, cheaper, looks better (axis 9 looks way cheap)... and as someone whos just learning, it does everything i need it to do properly for the time being. im not in need of anything high end (pioneer, denon), and after i learn what i need to know, im going to upgrade to serato... so for a piece of semi-transient equipment, its well worth the money i think.
