not to get preachy and annoying, but condoms are still the only thing that protect you from STD's and HIV.

so, even if the girl you are sleeping with is on the pill, you can still catch gonorrhea or something from her, or she could get catch something nasty from you.

before you have sex, do you sit there and ask them:
how many people have you had sex with?
how many times have you had unprotected sex?
have you ever had an hiv test?
have you ever been tested for std's?

i agree you should know the person, but many people don;t get tested regularly and are dishonest to their partners about their sexual history

the only way you can BOTH know for sure is if you go and get tested TOGETHER before having sex without a condom.
